Hey guys. I'm getting charged $10,000 for doing laminate flooring on a one story 1500 sq. ft. house all throughout. Is that a good deal or am I getting overcharged. This includes everything. Thanks

My wife had laminate flooring put down in a 1 story ~1500 sqft house 6 years ago and it cost $9000.

If your getting charged more that $3.00 per sqft for the install your getting ripped off. Now the material can run anywhere from less the a dollar per foot to 7 or 8 bucks per foot. Also if they are tearing out stuff like carpet, tile, and hardwood that can all add up to quite a lot of money. Also putting up the wall base should only cost you 1 to 2 dollars per linear foot if you have 1500 sqft of floor your base should be around 225 or 250 feet check your bid to make sure each item of work to be performed is listed and adds up. good luck
