Everyone I've met, talked to online or anything that were for the iraq war, didnt know a single person in the service. If someone died in iraq that you knew, would you still be pro war?

I'm sorry for all of your losses, my best friend's brother's helicoptor went down within the first few months of invading Iraq. I fully support our troops knowing they are doing their duty, however I especially now do not support war in any fashion. But thats for another discussion.

I have lost soldiers whom I led. One of them was a friend.

And yes, I support what we are doing over there.

I support the war. Had 2 in my unit get killed by a rocket 100 meters away from me.

As for people not knowing someone over there. Thats most of America, be they for the war or not. 300,000,000 Americans and only 2 million that serve. 95% of America doesnt have any real connection to the military and it is often the same families joining over and over with 2nd and 3rd generation military very common now. Most people that dont support the war dont know anyone over there either and have no real idea what is really going on over there.

Does it have to be the Iraq war? Because I have family buried in military cemeteries in San Fransisco/San Bruno and Hawaii, but they died in Vietnam and other conflicts.

My Father has friends buried at Arlington as well.

I thank God none of my current Family fighting over there has been lost, but they serve this country and do so willingly and they understand the possible cost.

I can assure you despite our individual feelings about why we went to war and how the war has been handled, my family does support it and the troops that fight.

my best friends husband died and didnt even get a chance to see his baby daughter...I support the troops and what they do, its there job right or wrong. I hope now this war has some kind of outcome so he didnt die for nothing. I dont support the war i didnt even before he died, but i do support and belive in our troops.

i have never lost family in a war but i have lost a close child hood freind my husband is in iraq as well i understand the reasons that war happens but no one is really trully pro war people have to die and no one wants someone to die if you ask me rather i want this war to end or not i will tell you yes but i dont want the problems that come with if it ends too abrubtly its hard to be in the middle of it all living the life that so many military familes do.

i know what has to be done and i know that i cant stop it from happening it is his job to serve his country rather I or anyonelse disagrees its still his job to fight.

i know and work with an ole retiree at work he lost his brother in vietnam and still stayed in the army and went to vietnam himself he retired after 20 years of service there is no greater pride than to know that you served your country well he said to me.

thoes soliders down there have to deal with loosing someone every day they know death is a harsh reality and when god says your number is up its up you have to go but yet they still continue to fight and serve there country proudly.

I support the war fully. Somebody has to fight for our freedom.

Which would you rather see attacks on their soil or ours.

Yes, I have lost somebody, my cousin was killed just a few days ago. We are currently waiting for his body to be returned home to be laid to rest.
