Having sex doesn't prove one to be a homosexual or not. Jewish culture was very much centered around the male. For men to travel in groups wasn't that big of a deal. John the Baptist also have disciples. You are making something out of absolutely nothing. If you really want to be a little more truthful, Jesus loves EVERYONE. That includes you. Rather than trying to sit there and make him into something that he isn't, you should try loving him back. Your life would be changed for the better. Nothing would ever been the same again.

"I mean he was hanging around with those 12 boys for 3 years"
He also was hanging around lots of women during this time as well.
"He told John he loved him and never gave Magdalene more than a kiss."
There are more ways of loving someone besides sexually and maybe sex just wasn't important to Him.
"How many 33 year olds have never gotten their leg over once?"
I was 34. Last time I checked, I wasn't homosexual either.
"If he never did it, would you like to follow his example?"
If I felt that's what God called me to do, yes.
"Pretty poor example of how one should live!"
Your personal opinion and nothing more.

Who knows? Nobody.
Age 33 was middle-age in the First Century, in that part of the world, and a Jewish man who hadn't accepted the wife his father had chosen for him and fathered children, would have been on the outside of society looking in. The term 'homosexuality' did not exist until 1869 and there probably was no concept of it as a 'lifestyle,' which came along only as the 19th century drew to a close. A great deal of same-sex activity, influenced by dominant Greek and Roman cultures, was no doubt happening. Does it matter if the man who came to be called Jesus had sexual experiences with other men? It's a mistake to apply modern mindset and terminology and prejudices to those times. The man's affection for John could have been either fraternal or something else, and, among the 12 disciples, either one would have been acceptable. References to 'homosexuality,' which fundamentalists added to new bibles in our time, spoke in fact of male prostitutes who made themselves available in the Temple. Theologians in our time, who see sex as evil, the poor things, seem to be especially fearful of sex between men--for reasons I leave to you to determine. Think of Ted whats-his-name, the evangical preacherman in Colorado.

What would be the point of getting into a relationship if you know you're going to have to sacrifice your life soon?
Jesus did have other followers, some of whom were female. The 12 were his apostles.
---------------
People assume that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute but no one has ever been able to prove this to me. It is true that a prostitute washes Jesus hair with fragrant oil and Jesus acknowledges her repentance. Shortly after this, we are introduced to Mary Magdalene. I don't see how this proves anything. Surely Jesus would have spoken to many women before Mary Magdalene appears in scripture - she could have been any one of them, or none of them.
Apologies for digressing.

Thye Gospel of Thomas, which was not included in The Bible, refers to Him frequently kissing Mary Magdalene on the mouth. Incidentally, she was not a prostitute, the church started this to discredit her because she was a female follower.

You really only see sensual stories between Jesus and women, not Jesus and men. He was unmarried, and you must know that the Bible is quite clear that sex while unmarried is a sin. So he was clearly straight, but had the will power to keep it in his pants. You seem to think you have to be the son of God to have any self control--I'm not sure I could be like Jesus, but I don't let the little head run my life! He's straight, the only people who don't think so think he was completely asexual (and they are wrong--he's straight).

Jesus Knew who he was and his purpose in this earth. He TAUGHT these people how to live so that after he was gone, they could pass all of this down to people everywhere. Remember, when Jesus died on the cross, many of the disciples fled elsewhere, and their duty was to pass on the words and teachings of Jesus. So no Jesus Christ was not a homosexual. p.s, if you asked this question, you should refer to the new testament. Read it and you'll see a lot of questions answered.

I don't think he was a homosexual.
Loving someone doesn't necessarily mean you want to have sex with them.
We don't know whether Jesus ever "got his leg over" or not.
We don't even know whether he was married or not.
It's not clear exactly what his relationship with Mary Magdalene was, except that it was obviously quite close.

Why do you speak of what you know nothing about? You blaspheme the Lord. God doesn't believe that sex is more important than people. Therefore, He kept Himself pure so He could go to the cross of Calvary, die for your sins and connect you back to God and eternal life. The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life.
Without God you have no life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except by Me." God and Jesus are One. Your Creator gave up all eartly lusts so you could have eternal life that Adam lost for you.
No greater example of man has ever been seen in this world than our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ!

no He wasn't. He was without sin, if you read the Bible, you wouldnt have made that ignorant statement. Mary Magdaline was a whore who found salvation in Jesus. Jesus loves everybody, even you. Though you may be a manipulative, ignorant as'shole who doesnt understand the concept of other people's religions and thinks he knows everything about Christianity when he doesn't know shi't, Jesus stilll loves you.
And the screen name ciscowen sounds prety homosexual to me. Like I said, Jesus was without sin, he never had sex, he never had impure thoughts, he never killed anyone.
Shan: If you really were a Christian, the thoughts of this guy would really pis's you off too. And I really don't believe that I asked for your opinion OR your judgement. So eat it
