...the most helpful to you? If you are a Christian, tell the pagans here the thing about Chrisitanity that has been the best thing about Christianity, the thing that has helped you the most in your life. And Pagans, please do the same about Paganism for our Christian friends!

I'll start. I am a Pagan, and what has helped me most about Paganism is how connected I feel to our beautiful blue and green planet, and how much wonder there is in this life.

THERE WAS ONE QUESTION PRECEDING THIS ONE, so NB:

We have the tables set, food and drinks are being served, and if you haven't already, feel free to share what you will bring to the feast and to say something good and respectful about the other path!

Blessings to all on CHRISTIAN AND PAGAN APPRECIATION DAY!

Let me first share what I do like about Pagans. I do like the fact that you care about our planet so deeply, and I too appreciate the wonder that is in this life.

I guess what I can add to that is that I am so thankful for my creator for designing the planet.

But what has helped me as a Christian the most is how as a Child of God I have learned about the fruits of the Spirit that my savior wants all of his followers to walk in: love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faith, humility, and patience/self control. I've learned about this by developing a relationship with my Savior. As I seek to please Him, I learn how to ask each Day, how can I show I love you, Lord, and he reminds me of these special gifts that he wants me to demonstrate to others in my daily conduct. Love, of course, is the greatest of these gifts.

Edit: Lady Morgana, nice question by the way and it definitely deserves many stars. May peace come upon your house today!

Sorry I'm late. I got overambitious and made a couple of quarts of pico de gallo. Chopping all those tomatos and jalapenos takes awhile. There's a big bowl of homade guacamole too. I hope somebody brought chips. I'd like to give a big thumbs up to the Methodists, who popularized this whole covered dish gathering thing and run to fine looking women. Those gals can backslide into me whenever they like. I think what's most spiritually useful about the way of the seer is learning to set aside what you think you know and see what's really there. What's most practically useful, is that when I do a reading, I get to spend 10 or so minutes at a time gazing into the eyes of beautiful women while they hang on my every word.

What has helped me most about my Pagan path is feeling truly connected to all of nature, to all of life and existence itself. It's taught me to be more appreciative of every breath I take, of every time I can see another person smile and laugh and love. As well as tolerance, because aside from the karma based thoughts on that, it's just understood that; as we are all connected, so no one is "above" anyone else. And surely giving tolerance to others is a basic courtesy, before being able to give it to/of yourself?

Another thing that goes along with that is contrast, and the actual wording of a belief I've had long before I became Wiccan. Being that, nothing is entirely good or entirely evil. that without pain, content can not and will not be fully appreciated it. and without some "evil" there could not be good. without some good there could not be a concept of "evil."

Blessed be everyone!

My path seems to be equally Christian and Pagan. I have one God but feel he is part of every living thing and that we should value all life as highly as our own. Christians have so much to learn from Pagans.

As a Pagan, Wicca to be exact.
The Rede and Threefold Law asking me to be responsible for me and my actions. Not giving blame to something that has never been present when I do a wrong or harmful act.
(hint, hint red guy with horns)
That I get what I deserve in my life. In having this knowledge/philosophy I try my darndest to go forth and harm none.

Morgana, as a Green Witch I have learned that ALL plants, Trees and herbs have useful, medicinal qualities that we can readily use for healing and maintaining our health. God/ess have inbued these qualities into them for the benefit of ALL living things. We arfe given these gifts of the Earth out of pure and unconditional love. All that is asked of us in return, is for US to love, care for and nurture the Earth. That includes ALL of the animals and peoples of the Earth as well. Animals have their health dispensing qualities (bees, birds, other animals). Also Humans have their health dispensing qualities too, some are Faith healers, some heal through touch, others are able to heal through words and music.

Loving and Lovely Goddess, Powerful, Gentle and Gracious God, Grant that all peoples of ALL Faiths and beliefs can come together for the healing of our precious and beautiful World. Help us to know and love one another and teach us that ALL are truly one as a part of the universal expanse of Living things. Teach us to be accepting of one another and give us the Strength to overcome those barriers that seperate us from our brothers and sisters and guide us in our attempts to come together in an unconditional embrace of each other as ONE family of humans on this, YOUR Blessed Earth.
So mote it Be !

Brightest Blessings,
Raji the Green Witch

Hello my friends!
Pagan Witch - I appreciate most that I can look past one's belief system and be curious enough to want to find out who they are as a person. Makes it easier for me to love them.
For myself? Nature, nature, and some nature is what I cherish most in my life.

Blessings

Honestly, what has been most helpful in my path has been to leave churches behind, and to spend a lot of time considering the ramifications of REALLY loving my neighbor as myself and doing unto others as I would have them do unto me.

Because what I really want from others is encouragement to be loving and kind and honest with myself, strong in my faith, generous in my actions, and appreciative of what I have.

So I guess that's what I ought to be giving to others, eh?

Pagans - whatever Pagan faith you practice, be true to it; to your devotions, to your principles, to your understanding of God.

Most of you seem to already have the "loving and kind' part mastered already!
