I can tell you this much. I have recently proven, using Yahoo answers, that some Christians blindly would eat their own poo, if they where commanded to do so. This indicates that much of Christianity rests on a blind belief, which turns people into slaves. "If God says - then I do so..."
THAT is how people can become suicide bombers, if anyone should wonder about it. So you see - it is not only Muslims that have this feature - it is ALL religions.
And you should really see this:

you worry too much. :o) Christians are wrong about some things. More than we realize I'm sure. It's not about all the great details that we aren't able to understand anyway.. it's about faith and resting in what you can't see but KNOWING in your heart that He's got you and you're safe. I would'nt want to put my life in anyone or any god's hands that I could understand. That means that he would be no greater than I. That's scary. You have questions that alot of people have and alot of people have theories to answer you. No one can go back in time and prove the "original" bible. It wasn't 1 book. It came from many people from different times. Some of the originals do exist. Praying in a temple... I suppose I'm missing the signifigance of this question... Many authors for the new testement. If you pick up a study bible somewhere it will have an intro to each book of the Bible and tell you who wrote it and when. The ones they aren't 100% certain on they state that they "think" who and when. Jesus did not have a son, He was the son. I personally don't believe you go straight to heaven when you die. This is a very interesting topic to me. I believe that the dead rise first and then the living at the rapture. What happens between now and then for those that have passed... I personally believe (not really stated in the bible exactly) that there is another realm here that we can't see with angels and demons and those that have passed on. I believe there is alot that goes on in that realm. I'll spare you all my ramblings about it. Hope I helped some. Good questions. Have a great day!
hugs and prayers,

Hi I can only answer some of your questions or else Id be here all night! Im a Catholic and I believe that Christ died in order to open the gates to eternal life so yes when we die we go to heaven ...because we are all sinners (yes even the Christians!) we depend on the prayers of others to get us there...I believe as a Christian I am often wrong and make many mistakes but the centre of my faith is that because God has loved me exactly as I am, I am completley free to make those mistakes and one day when I finally convert my heart to Him I will be able to forgive others and truly become Christian.I dont know anyone else who has the same love for me. I mean I can say I love my husband but when we fight I honestly cant say I love him in those times. Many people have this wierd idea that to be Christian is to be 'good' but pagans & athiests can do very 'good' things in the world so its not about being good but about being a follower of Christ and putting Him first.I have had what I thought was freedom in my life and been totally independant and away from the Church for many years but I didnt experience the happiness and peace that I enjoy now as part of a community where I am beginning to have a real understanding of love & forgiveness.

Sounds like your theology is coming from the Gnostic gospels.
The Bible is true - and alive. I have seen it work in my own life unlike anything else. I have seen it work in other people's lives.
"the original bible"? There are thousands of manuscripts, between which there is a .02% margin of error (and i intentionally put the . in.). It doesn't matter if the original Bible was burned because there are many other copies there.
We can not understand all that God does, or why He does it. Your faith should be based on what you find out from studying (from the complete Bible) these questions and letting go of the ones that are irrelevant.

These are all good questions and I wish that I had the answers for you; but I don't. I am Christian but all that really means is that I believe that Jesus is the divine son of God and that I follow in His ways. I want to encourage you to research it yourself, with an open heart. Faith isn't about being able to prove it without a shadow of a doubt. Faith is the substance of things unseen; the evidence of things hoped for. There are many different ways to look at the Bible. I want to encourage you to open your heart and let the Holy Spirit guide you through it. :0)

For one reason, despite fulfilling prophecies and being a "good" teacher, Jesus Christ was seen by over 500 people after He died on the cross. Many even spoke with Him, including the Apostles.
That kinda validates everything He said that was true: He is the Son of God who lived a sinless life and died a sin-bearing death for our undeserved salvation.
Independent eyewitness accounts hold tremendous weight not only in our courts, but also should in our lives.

We are not always right....that's for sure but.....
Scripture is clear on alot of things.
To try and answer your questions:
1) The original scrolls of scripture were lost I believe in a fire in Greece if I'm not mistaken
2) Jesus said we could pray anywhere....just not with repetitious prayers like the pagans do
3) There really is no "new" version of scripture. What we have are copies of the original in our language
4) Jesus did not have a son
5) You go to heaven when you believe that Jesus Christ is who He says He is and you have a personal relationship with Him
6) The bible is the truth
7) All believers will occupy heaven
I hope this helps a little

I am a liberal Christian and have a lot of the same questions you do. I believe that a) Jesus died for my sins and b) the Bible gives us a pretty good blueprint of how to live based on the stories we have about Jesus. Beyond that it's all pretty gray area to me. I hate it when Christians get so tangled up in the minute details that they lose sight of the big picture: "LOVE ONE ANOTHER." That's all I need to know.

No one can give a definite answer when it comes to words of faith, but you just gotta go with what clicks. like Christianity clicks for me but not going to church and all that stuff. I'm not a super Christian, but I do believe in the higher power of God. If you don't try Catholicism, or something else. Search for what you believe is a higher truth. I hate super Christians cause they say evry1 besides them go to hell. not true.

who said Mary is in heaven??? not..
There is no rapture- we go to heaven at the same time.
How about sitting down w/ a study Bible-- and read for yourself-- No one has to PROVE anything to you...

The self-authenticating God-breathed Word, the Holy Bible, is all that Christians need for faith and practice!
