“I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed” (Dan. 7:13:14).
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion, Shout O daughter of Jerusalem: Behold your King is coming to you;…He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth” (Zach.9:9-10).
“Come and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight” (Hosea 6:1-2, see 1 Cor. 15:4).

Jesus Himself used the evidence of fulfilled Bible prophecy to demonstrate that He was the world's true Messiah. Aspects of Jesus' life were written before He was born. For example:"the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" Isaiah 7:14. The Messiah would ride to Jerusalem in a donkey(Zechariah 9:9) His ministery would last 31/2 years(Daniel 9:24-27)So they weighed out for my wages 30 pieces of silver(Zechariah 11:12)Jesus would be whipped(Isaiah 50:5,6) Jesus would be executed(Zechariah 12:10)They have pierced my hands and feet. My enemies stare at me and gloat.(Psalm 22:16)They divide my garments among them and for my clothing they cast lots(Psalm 22:18)
Psalms 22:1 "My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?"
The most precise prophecies about the Messiah were fulfilled during the final hours of His life. But the message for us is that Jesus' tomb is empty. Jesus is alive! And He is offering us eternal life.
God Bless

Why is it that Christians see these passages along with others as referring only to Jesus? Can it not be that it is G-d?
And what about all the other messages, the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh that Jesus did not fulfill. Such as world peace, a Jewish nation and turning all people to G-d.
Christians like to think that Jesus will acomplish all this in the second coming. Unfortunately there are no real prophecies that say that there will be a second coming, or even that Jesus had to die and then ressurect. Psalm 22 is talking about David's hardships, not about the Messiah. In fact, the Christian texts do not even translate it correctly.
The fact of the matter is that the Christian 'proof texts' fail in the light of Messianic prophecies. They are merely shadows to what the Messiah is to do. And in the Messianic prophecies there is no world ending battle with Satan - Satan doesn't have that power. The people of the world will not have to be wiped out leaving only Christians as Revelation claims. Instead, wars and death will cease and all will know G-d and live eternally in his presence.

Thast is a stretch. those messianic standards are and have continuously been universally primary by employing the Jewish human beings. Jesus did no longer qualify because of the fact the Jewish Messiah ben David for the essential reason that he did no longer fulfill any of those standards. The Messiah ben David could desire to: a million. have the the main suitable option kin tree by employing being descended from King David and King Solomon, 2. be anointed King of Israel, 3. return the Jewish human beings to Israel, 4. rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, 5. convey peace to the worldwide and end all conflict, 6. convey know-how of God to the worldwide.

And what you omitted from Zechariah:
"Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
a colt, the foal of a donkey."
From which Matthew pictures Jesus riding into Jerusalem on two animals and thereby fulfilling yet another bit of 'prophecy'. No, it's just an extremely common poetic device of that time, where a bit is repeated with a slight variation.
You guys are really trying way too hard.

Anything is possible, but I'd say that those that give a flat out "yes, of course" answer are being extrememly unreasonable because the verses are too vague to definitively refer to anyone specific.
Oncommonly known fact: Vlad Tsepesch (Dracula) was killed in battle and arose on the third day following his death. To this day his is considered to be a saint/savior to the Romanians.

still taking random passages out of context, i see.
where's the stuff about a 2000 year gap, or about a 2nd coming at all? hmmm? that was invented precisely because jesus didn't fulfill the OT prophesies.
look, believe what you want, there are a lot of loving christians around, but why do you have to prove it to anyone.
if you really had faith, you wouldn't have to prove it.

you said "One like the Son of man came ", that's really interesting considering who you laim the father of Jesus was. Also, did you know there were no capital letters in Hebrew, so putting son in capitals is personal bias of the translator.

How about these?
2 Samuel 22
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation.
He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
from violent men you save me.
4 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
31 "As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him.
32 For who is God besides the LORD ?
And who is the Rock except our God?
33 It is God who arms me with strength
and makes my way perfect.
47 "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!
Isaiah 28
16 So this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
"See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who trusts will never be dismayed.
I could go into the Tabernacle, the Passover, the other prophecies of Jacob, Zechariah, Ezekiel, and in Genesis as well. Jesus is all over the Old Testament. This is verified by Jesus who said:
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

All of the old Prophets were there to foretell of the coming of the Messiah that is why when Jesus came he said there would no longer be a need for prophets and that any who came after him claiming to be a prophet would be false prophets.
