She thinks she is playing with you, also trying to be affectionate. She is comfortable with you, and looks to you like you are another cat. kind of like dogs with their human pack leaders.

My cat does that too - the kicking and biting is what cats do with their pray. The licking is probably just her way of showing affection or letting you know she's playing with you. If you watch kittens in a litter, they do this to each other all the time. Cats need lots of physical and mental stimulation so they love to play, and she feels comfortable and safe playing with you, or your hand! ;-)

My Printzee always bites ( not hard) whenever I play with him . That is the only way cats repsond to playing , then they lick you. My cat always has to have my fingers in his mouth , and when I walk by him he jumps on my leg and bites me . I know it is only playful affection , but sometimes he can hurt ! Also when I play with him he grabs on to my arms and kicks with his hind legs , it looks like he 's riding a bicycle , so cute
I love him so much .

My cat does the same thing, and often when I walk by she will jump out at my leg and try and put her front paws around it and bite it. I guess it is just playing, maybe she might like a toy, I got mine a mouse on a stick and it is fun for her and me!

Just playing around my cats used to do this all the time. When she rubs her head or licks you she is putting her scent on you making you her property. It's also affection for them

this is a very normal reaction when kitties get over stimulated. when they bite, and start kicking with their hind legs (like a rabbit), it's their way of saying, enough. but they don't mean to hurt you. my kitty does this all the time. but he begs to be pet. and when i do, thats what i get. i lay off and just rub the back of his neck which puts him in la la land!!

i read somewhere that cats will hold on to us because they are showing us affection or even that they "own" us, without hurting us... maybe she's letting you know she's had enough petting by holding you with her teeth then clawing? it's hard to tell what they are thinking....
i'm sure she's just adorable! take care.

it's a natural instinct. cats do that to their prey, they catch it and bite it and claw it till it stops moving, then they lick it and eat it.
