There could still be more in her. If she doesn't have another baby in about an hour, then she is done.
Do not touch her or the babies for the first three days because she may abandon the babies.
If she does abandone the second one there is a reason for it. Usually it is because the mother knows it will not survive. Leave them all alone, and don't touch them, just keep an eye on her. If after a little while she still doesn't do anything with the second one, put on rubber gloves and try to get her to pay attention to it.
You should not hold the babies until they are several weeks old, and then only when the mother is present and put the baby back in the box when she starts trying to take it away from you.

1. There could be more then three but feel around on her belly if there is no movements then probably not. The average litter size is 4 kittens so if she was small there probably isnt anymore.
2. You need to move them immediately to a box or somewhere safe where the kittens cant move to much but where the mother can get in and out.
3. Try and help the 2nd one feed off of the mother and do any of the cleaning that she hasnt already. Just DO NOT GIVE THEM A BATH.
4. You can hold them anytime you want as long as the mother and you are close just dont allow anyone else to hold the kittens till they are around 4 weeks.
5. Make sure that they are gaining weight also you still need to supplement the babies with some kitten milk that you will buy at the store. Use a eye dropper to feed the kittens the milk. Also make sure to keep an eye out for the mother over bleeding which can happen so if you notice alot of blood then take her to the vet but some blood is very normal. If you have any more questions I will check back.

1. There could be more. It's hard to say w/ a first litter. Just give her time and see.
2. I would give her about an hour or so w/ them and let her get them all cleaned and start nursing them all before moving them. After about an hour or so it should be ok to move them to a box, just put in a towel or something w/ her and the little ones to keep them warm when she gets out to do her thing.
3. If she's cleaned it and is feeding the first and third one it's unlikely that she will abandon the second one.
4. I would give it at least a week or maybe 2. If you handle them too much she may get upset and then abandon them. It happens. I've heard that it's best to wait until they open their eyes, but when our cat had hers we didn't. But our cat trusted us completely also. If she trust you alot she might let you handle them some.
5.Most times a nursing mother will develop diaharea. I know TMI but it's true LOL Just make sure her litter box stays clean. and that she stays well fed and has plenty of water. She takes care of the rest!
Congrats and enjoy the little ones!

Our cat Midnight had her kittens a little over 2 weeks ago. Infact she had them under a bed also. Anyways wait till shes done and move them into a box. It take could several hours for her to finish. She wont abandon any of them in less she knows one is sick or dieing. I hold one of our kittens a few days ago and she didn't seem to mind. If you go and check on them a lot she will move them to another spot. Make sure she has food and water and a litter box around. Don't force the water or food on her she'll go to it when she's ready. Good luck and fun with them!

hi... well she finally had those babies... great!
yes there could be more than three babies, or not.. just keep an eye on her... she will probably be just fine and deliver the rest (if any) at her own pace. sometimes it takes a while between babies...
give her a few days under the bed... meanwhile, you can put the box next to the bed and whenever she comes out to take a break, put her in it to "show" her.. that way she knows it's there.
i don't think she's going to abandon any of her kittens. the first one just happened to find out how to nurse quickly.. the second one will make its way sometime soon, im' sure.
you can hold them anytime. most mother cats might show "concern" if you hold their babies and they cry, but she probably won't mind that much.
take care ok!! happy kittens!!

Calm down its not a big deal.
1. I had a very very tiny cat and she had 5 kittens so yes there could be more/
2.you can move them whenever you would like. If you wish to move them now wait untill theyve at least ate for awhile
3. No she will not abandon it. its perfectly comon for the mother to take her mind off of one to hele another.
4. Yoy can hold them now although i would wait untill they are a doy old. my cat had hers in my trach can i had to move them and the worst thing was that there was a bees nest right above them and im elirgic to bees.
5. you shold probebly let you kittys rest for a while and let the mother relax check on them mabey every hour. and if the mother is asleep do not wake her and the kitties up.
have fun with you kittens

Answers:
1. Is she was small, chances are that all she'll have. But keep a eye on her for now, but dont touch babies,
2. For my cat she let me move the babies 2 days after they were born. But for your cat it may be differant. It depends on how social she is, if she is a first time mom, etc.
3. Why would she abandon only the 2nd one? Chances are if she abandons one she will abandon all. For now, if she is cleaning them like you say, she wont abandon them.
4. My cat let me hold them like I said 2 days after they were born. But I have to warn you just because she is letting you hold them dont mean they want to be held. *They will cry/meow*
5. For now, leave them for 3 days at least if all looks healthy. Then schedule a vet appoitment for mom and kittens to be looked over to make sure nothing is wrong and everyone is healthy.

hi my cat had her first litter 3 weeks ago i was with her while she gave birth and she let me handle them ever since they were born, she too was very small but had 4, my cat nursed hers at all different times too, if shes cleaned them all herself and chewed the cords off theres not alot of chance of her abandoning it, good luck with your kittens mine are walking around now and are always getting lost my kids think its great fun looking for them the hardest parts letting them go to new homes
