I always found that interesting....I know palestinian Christians too and they find it odd that so many Christians in America take Israels side.

Of course we are talking about the Orthodox Christians (I grew up as one)...their ideas are different than the evangelical Christians...

Why did so many Christians give up and leave Palestine? -- There used to be so many more there...That WEREN'T there because of the crusades --they were Orthodox. The Crusaders were Roman Catholic.

edit:Why are so many Christians bringing up not being able to go to Mecca, MECCA IS NOT THEIR HOLY LAND -- they are just twisting things around.

THAT'S NOT TRUE AT ALL

Xtians and Muslims have EVERY legal right to worship everywhere they want in Jerusalem, it's only when the police receive intelligence that the imam is going to give a speech to incite a riot is the amount of people to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque restricted--Xtians are never restricted because they don't cite riots. This I have seen with my own eyes, you are lying.

Why do those Xtians identify with the Palestinians? Oh yeah--most of them ARE Palestinians!!

No, it doesn't bother me.

I figure only about 2% of the people here are Christian. That doesn't bother me either.

As far as having no legal right to worship in Jerusalem, tell that to the Christian and Moslem organizations that have churches there. Some laws are just "feel good' laws, and rarely get applied to all in all circumstances.

The Jews are not the only ones to have such stupid laws. A Christian cannot "worship" in Saudi Arabia either.

I don't' see why three major religions all supposedly about peace and love are fighting over a chunk of desert. It has never made any sense to me and has always seemed kind of sad.

By the way it was the Christians who were the aggressors during the crusades the Arabs that controlled the region at the time were fairly good about allowing other faiths to make pilgrimages to the area.

The question about Christians and Judaism believers is very thorny, not telling about Muslims. To worship Christians and Muslims can, but to preach no. I want to leave alone Judaism believers with Muslims. I want to speak about Christians, my brothers or "brothers". There are such and such. But I'm not so lucky. In Christianity there are o-o-o-o-oh!!! how much problems. I did not meet such Christians which can accept me. I'm looking for them on the Internet also. No luck till now. Blows I got and most offensive to get it from brothers. I shall not be praising myself, but did not deserve such treatment from Christians. My way is very difficult, my brothers don't care about it as it seems.

Hmm, no legal right, that sounds more like Mecca, eh?

And you're omitting the fact that it's ok for Muslims to throw rocks from the Al-Asqua mosque onto Jews at the Wailing Wall. Or that Israeli security forces protect the mosque from the Jewish extremists Hamas works so hard to keep angry.

No, apparently you'd rather add to the lies. Arab governments want you to do just that. Anything to remove Jews from that small sliver of land.

Being a gay couple, my boyfriend of 14 years is Muslim from India and we have had our share of disagreements and arguments, but you know what? We have never fought about religion. We both know there is but one God, and each religion is but a different road we all travel while here on earth, but we all came from the same place, and we will all return to the same place; in the meantime we also all share the same space ship that we call planet Earth.

The Israelis guarantee equal access to holy places to all three religious branches.

But honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to live in that hell hole, much less fight over it. I say we just build a wall around it and let them kill each other for as long as they can survive. We could take kids there on field trips to peek over the walls and see first hand the effects of religion.

No. People are free to live the way they want everywhere in the world. There is no law that says that everyone has to be Christian. We are free to choose. As for Jerusalem, after Jesus was crucified, it was forbidden in that city to even use his name and the apostles were forbidden to use his name to preach in that city as well because he was considered by the Jews to have profaned God by saying that he was the son of God. The Jews believe that there is only one God, whereas the Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God.

The point of the Crusades was Religious Oppression. They were attempting to force the rest of the world to follow their religion.

Christ was a Jew. The predominant religion of the area is the same as it was in the time of Christ. Why should that change?
