i got a 2nd degree burn, its not bad im used to getting burns but i was wondering if its ok to put neosporin on it? the burn is about the size of a thumb print

Never put Ice on it like the guy up above said when you get a burn. If its a burn that you got yesterday or a something like that and the blister is open then yeah thats fine. But do not pop the blister just to put the neosporin on it. Then get a sterile dressing and cover it. I would take the bandage of at night to let the burn have some air, but reapply the neosporin before going to bed and dont put the bandage on. But yeah just keep a close eye on it and make sure its not getting infected or anything like that.

Don't use the ointment version of neosporin because it's like putting butter on the burn - BAD. Only use the neosporin if it's looking like an infection is beginning. Use aloe vera gel on the burn.

I would put neosporin on it. Watch it really close. Get medical help at the first sign of infection.

Cool the burned area. Immerse in cold water or apply cold cloths. Cover it with a clean dry dressing. Elevate burned limbs above heart level.

johnson and johnson first aid cream. will help.I got burned in the face a flash burn froma grill and i put that on my burn it helps alot. If it get infecdted you will need to see the doctor.

Let toothpaste sit on it for 5 minutes then rinse it off. Put a thin layer of Neosporen on it then a band-aid.

Is there a blister and has it burst..if so..yeah, go ahead and put neosporin on it, if it is blistered and hasn't popped, I wouldn't.

Thats probably not going to hurt yet its not oing to help, keep it try and wrapped and just give it time.
