Yeah, my happiness is so much better than yours, lol . .just kidding. . .people just can't see past their own lives and comprehend that other people can do just fine in their own ways and with their own choices too.

A dog is happy when you pet it. Are you happier than that?

Do you doubt your happiness and thus need to compare it with that of a theist? Now I doubt your happiness.

If life were only about happiness then your question makes perfect sense. However, I would suggest there is more to life than just happiness. How about fullfillment, purpose, being Loved and being able to Love.....

not good or bad, just different happiness can be experienced; take football, your team is winning and just got another touch down, you scream, laugh and you give cheers to your buddies. now, a person is walking across a road, out of the corner of your eye you see a truck blazing at her, you run across the road knocking the lady out of the way just as the truck speeds past you. take love, you feel as if everything is beautiful, and wonderful. take sex, well, i think we all know the happiness of sex. all are different kinds of happiness. now, if someone gets their jollies off on killing people, i would think that would be "bad happiness", but bad is society standard, some people have no morals.

Bad happiness is a life of excessive debauchery.
Good happiness is a state of satisfaction in one's lifestyle.
At least, that's my own perspective.

I am neither an atheist nor a theist. I prefer to be an agnostic, with a set of morals and principles based on sheer logical and rational thinking and a bit of common sense. I do not believe in any of these manmade knowledge or faith.

I'm a Christian.. and I'm happy. Do I think you are as happy as I am. Absolutley! I am happy in my faith, and you are happy in not having one. There is no difference. To me, it's just like living in the country vs. the city. If a person is happy in the country they are no more or less happy than a person who is happy living in the city. You have the right to choose and be happy with your choice.

Good happiness is people that are happy and on your side. Bad happiness is people that are happy and not on your side.

You have two choices, make them unhappy or get them on your side. I think this clears up some of the Christian conversion posts clearly. Thank you.

Absolutely not. We each find happiness where we can and mine is no better than yours. People who make such judgements clearly do not understand other people... and probably don't want to understand them. It's really annoying when someone tries to tell me that they "know" how I feel or what I am thinking.... I find it's arrogant and it really leaves me no room to give any respect to a person who treats others this way.

Eternity. Your truth and my truth are different. The word of God is truth to me and what you see is truth to you. I am glad that you are happy, but don't be upset when I try to tell you about the Bible. Just let me know you are not interested and I will get the point. This world has love in it. After this world is over, there will be only two places--but you don't care, so enjoy your life while you have it.

While I don't agree that they are happier I think this quote from George Bernard Shaw is appropriate

"The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one"

Christians go through things just like everyone else we live in this world. There is joy in the Lord. But our joy is not the same as those that do not believe. It is an assurance that God is in control no matter what we go through. When Christians go through bad times and we all do, it is very hard to realize that he is still with us. We wont know why things happen to us or anyone until that day we meet him face to face. God Bless

The only thing that elevates most(certainly not all are this way but its amazing the responses you receive if you don't specify EVERYTIME) theists to any higher level is their own self-righteousness. Which really doesn't make any difference to anyone but their flock.
