It's not my duty, Aurora. If a man's having dinner with me, he's either taking me to a nice restaurant or helping me in the kitchen.

1. Judging from your question I can tell you have no knowledge of the Bible, because you don't have a clue about the significance of that account.
2. Eve was deceived. Adam ate the fruit on his own free will.
3. The account about Eve and Adam has nothing to do with women being responsible for preparing meals for men.
4. We are only responsible for feeding our children.
5. You should research properly next time before you ask a dumb a** question like this again.

Perhaps it became a symbol of the kind of trust required to have a successful marriage? Adam (and all men since then) are certainly well aware that Eve (and the women that followed her) can feed him something harmful...perhaps Adam needed to demonstrate that he now trusted Eve to have learned from her mistake?

Well according to the story you cite, it was Eve who started serving food. No one had ever given another person a piece of food up to that point.

Men should never have accepted so much as a crumb from a woman since then, but of course, we men never thought of it.

you have been examining Zechariah Stichin books and a e book referred to as the Gods of Eden. because of the fact all you have suggested is spoken of in those books. Sitchin has some good theories. He reported that the reason Solomon grow to be so sensible and the reason Enoch grow to be taken grow to be because of the fact they could use the capability from the ark of the covenant to make mono atomic white powder gold. Which grow to be then jumbled in bread tarts to offer them the skill to open the third eye and understand Yahweh extra.

First off, it was the tree of life. Second of all, Eve didn't feed Adam, Adam ate the fruit on his own. Thirdly, it's neither men or womens duty to feed the other. The only people who's duty it is for us to feed is our children.

In Europe of the Middle Ages, it was often men's job to cook and women's to make beer (ale). An alewife was considered a good catch long before they gave the name to a fish.

Nads - I think you need a nap, and maybe a Midol.

I think it was more a case that men can't cook worth a crap, so women didn't WANT them to prepare the meals.

That tradition started when mankind were hunters/gatherers. Men would hunt the animals and women would prepare the burgers.

hahahaha! Eve was decieved though, she wasn't being malicious. And men cooked, even in the ancient times, Jacob was cooking beans when Esau came from hunting.
