So you keep them and do some inbreeding to make some money on the new litter?
Your looking for good homes on Yahoo?
Have you not heard all the health risks of unaltered pets?
Did you pay the thousands of dollars for testing on the pyr and gsd? Both are very susceptible to genetic traits you don't want to breed. For all you know your pups could have all of both.

You can ask questions, but people feel strongly about mix breeds. I love mix breeds, the only reason I have a pure breed dog right now is because I found him on the side of the road and took him in when no one reported him to any of the local shelters. I also have 2 mixes too. Ask your questions if you need help, but in your spare time look at petfinder.com. Even when you chose a breed to look at all those dogs are mixes, it's so sad but there are so many people that want to breed and that are breeding and they don't realize how many more million people are doing the same, and then you have millions of dogs and not enough people to buy them. I have 3 dogs 2 cats, all saved one way or another. If I could afford, house and take care of a hundred more I would. Look into where yuor dogs will most likely end up, visit a bunch of shelters in and out of your area, go on kill day. You might realize breeding mixes isn't worth the life they will most likely end up getting.

Its not a case of being mean and its not because they're mix breed,
The reason people are mean is because there are so many healthy dogs that have to be put down due to owners breeding their dogs and only wanting the £££'s at the end of it.
I strongly believe that if you have a dog or any animal you should have a license to keep it , and to get the license you must as mandatory have your animal spayed / neutered.
Just because your dog was in season doesn't mean she wanted puppies, much the same way humans have periods.
Just because we can breed doesn't mean we should!
I hope that if you do keep your puppies you get them and any other animals and the mum fixed asap,
As for the mums attitude it could stay nasty, you will just have to wait and see.
Also when finding homes for your puppies i hope you will vet them first as even "the lovely couple" from a couple of streets away can be a nasty piece of work and you may find you pup's have gone to nasty homes.
Next time leave the breeding to the people who know and who should breed for the bettering of the breed, not just because it would be fun to have cute puppies and make money from them

It has nothing to do with the breed. Its all about the OWNER. Since you cant go back and change what happened, you need to focus on taking care of those pups! Make sure you get them to vet visits and shots (mom too) to make sure they are healthy. Find good homes, ask potential buyers lots of ?'s (fenced yard, indoor/outdoor dog, etc...) and make sure they will spay/neuter the puppy. This is your responsibility and those pups are depending on you to do whats right. When this is all over, please spay your momma dog. If you cant afford it (and that's why it wasn't done in the first place) then you have no business owning a dog.

I have spent a life time rescuing dogs or adopting. All were pet quality dogs. Some where specific breeds but were poor quality. Airedales, Great Danes, Dobermans, Chows, Labs, Border Collie....... all rescued or adopted.
I would love to have a quality dog but there is never room for one. I keep finding these poor lost little souls that need me or face death.
The idea of having a litter of mixed breed puppies just turns me cold. Especially if the dogs were bred on purpose. There are so many killed everyday of the week just because of peoples ignorance of what they are doing. I cannot rescue them all. Several were just given to me cause I am used to big breed dogs & the rescue places just didn't have proper places for them in their kennels cause they were so big or problem dogs.
Take heed of the answers here & get your dog spayed to prevent this from happening again.

Good and you'll breed them (probably with each other because you know no better or will forget to neuter/spay). Then you'll get desperate and dump them all in a shelter. The parents will be euthanized because they were never well socialized and no one wants adult mutts. The babies MAY be adopted people can deal with mutt puppies- but they'll end up back at the shelter due to health and behavioural problems due to inbreeding.
Or if you do sell them- you won't care as long as you make your buck and the new owners may do the above.
EITHER WAY IT'S YOUR FAULT.
What's done is done so I will stop being rude/honest.
Sell the dogs and use the money to get the parents spayed/neutered.
newspapers, flyers, stand outside of walmart- whatever. You just can't sell them on here- against the rules.
Oh and mistakes don't happen to spayed/neutered dogs. My dog will never cause a mistake- mommy made sure of that.

At thje time of your pups 1st and 2nd heat cycle she is still growing and if she were to become pregnant the nutrients that she needs to maintain her own growth and maintainance would be going to her puppies. It could stunt her growth as well as make for a difficult delivery. Think of it in terms of people... just because a girl starts her menstral cycle at the age of 12 doesn't mean it is healthy for her to get pregnant. Give your lab some time to mature and then if you're really set on breeding her talk to your vet (or your brother) and talk about all the possibilities of complications.

I missed something.
What's the question here? Rudeness is inappropriate anywhere. However, if someone provides an answer that is not what you want to hear, that may not be rude.
I do think that we (as a whole) hide behind the anonymity of the Internet and say things that we normally wouldn't say in person. I think it's important to be polite, businesslike and treat people with honesty and the same courtesy as you would if you were speaking face to face - even if you disagree with what they are doing.
Just my opinion.

I agree!! My dog is a mixed breed and she had puppies three months ago. Every time I asked a question I got horribly mean responses. I find it incredibly offensive.. just because my dog isn't pure-bread doesn't mean it isn't a good dog. I love my dogs and take great care of them... I think some people are just on a high-horse about have pure-bread show dogs.

You know how many mixes are being euthanized all over the country?! You know how many are red-listed and don't have much time?!
Guess not, because you're too busy being a backyard breeder...
Sorry honey, not everyone is going to sugarcoat things for you in life...
