Okay so Proud Muslimah Beautiful Islam just blocked me so I can't even answer her questions. I have never emailed her or anyone else on this forum. As an atheist, I have never blocked ANYONE, not even Fireball. I don't agree with Fireball, but I am not going to stop the entire yahoo community from even seeing her answers. Is this not cowardly of Proud Muslim? I guess she's not so proud after all if she can't even cope with someone questioning her religion.

Sure, maybe it's generalising but I do suspect this is more of a trend with the religious people than the atheists on here.

It wasn't Yahoo who blocked me, it was proud muslim. It's not about her not talking to me, it's about only allowing people who agree with her to express their opinion in a public forum.

Kat O, I wouldn't care if she merely reported me.

I have to agree with Mr. Eko and spleenwater.
Proud Muslimah Beautiful Islam's actions are indicative of her shaky faith. I would guess she fears that if you have questions it will cause her to have questions and that will damn her soul. Perhaps we Atheist should see it as a sign of hope. Maybe she will eventually be enlightened.
On the other hand, it is all too true that religions teach, advocate, and practice censorship as a matter of policy. They want only their message to be heard. Thankfully, R&S, flawed as it is, allows more give and take than most religions would like to see.

Well ... let's not go nuts with the judgement, Skippy! Yahoo invites that sort of behavor. They make is sooooooooooo easy to click that little abuse button.
Once ... someone asked some goofy, off the wall, completely unintelligible question that was NOT about religion or politics or anything "important." As my way of saying, "Your question doesn't make any sense, rephrase it," I wrote simply: "What?!" I got reported for abuse. Yahoo sent me their nasty-gram saying I had violated the terms of service. LOL!
See, it's just too easy. I've sent complaints to YAHOO to stop removing answers without even looking at them! To me, it's on THEM!
With that said, there is still a people element to your complaint. I wonder if you understand that ALL people are prone to ego, temper, frailty, doubt, suspicion, cowardliness, etc.? These are not things unique to Christians, Muslims, Jews, or Atheists. Maybe this particular person IS a coward. I have heard a LOT of complaints about how "the Muslims" will block you over nothing. When you look half-way across the world and see that some Muslims were willing to kill over a goofy cartoon, that shouldn't shock you too much! Just the other day a 19-year old Muslim killed a journalist for writing some stories about a Muslim business in NYC. So, I don't know. Maybe the entire religion DOES have problems! Or maybe it's cultural. I will say that Muslim MEN in particular seem to want to CONTROL things. They hate, for example, Western influence and are willing to imprison, torture, or even kill people who embrace it. They hate Jesus and will kill anyone who embraces Him. They will kill their women if they get out of line. And so on.
There IS a difference between the way Christians believe and the way Muslims seem to believe. Christians believe ABSOLUTELY that Jesus is Lord. But ... we KNOW that we cannot MANDATE belief! Muslims seem to want to mandate it. If not believe, you SHALL go through the motions. Or you will die. LOL!
So, just be thankful that all they've done to you is block you. It could be worse. Can you say, BEHEADING?!?!?!?
But my question to YOU is this. Why is it that you come to Yahoo Answers time and again to CONFRONT people of faith? To argue with us? To mock us?
For the most part, I've tried to stay away from the category Religion & Spirituality because the voices of faith are drowned out by the shrill shreaking voices of hate-filled Atheists who SAY that they want to debate, but EVERY point that is made, "doesn't prove anything," "just shows how stupid you are," "just proves that Christians are idiots," etc. From my Christian point of view, the Muslims are NOT the problem! They ask Muslim questions and answer Muslim questions. They rarely mock Christians. It's the Atheists who are IN YOUR FACE about their hatred of Christianity. Okay, so you all aren't cowards. You're just obnoxious jerks! Is that any better?

There is a world of difference between discussing and posting material that breaches the YA guidelines.
If you are sure you did not then complain to YA and they rescind the violation and give the points back.
I suspect from the tone of your question though that you breached the YA guidelines and those are there to protect other users here.
You agreed to abide by the guidelines when you signed up!!!

i agree. but another reason why most religions are cowardly in my own opinion is that they NEED somthing to happen to them after death, and they NEED someone to tell them they can be forgiven for all theyre wrongdoings, you know? They need someone/thing to promise them eternal happiness just to make themselves happy here on earth. Thats why i follow my own religion and do not bow down to some superior, wich btw doesnt it say in the bible that thou shall not build structers to worship me? umm ya so whats a church? and all theyre little songs "come and worship"? ok sorry to get so heated and this answer was not directed to hurt anyone or demean anyones opinion. Thank you!

Sounds like yer whining dude. If you are truly what you think you are what does it matter if you never even say the "R" word for the rest of your life. How can it possibly matter, in the Grand scheme of things, whether one child of Mohamed chooses not to speak to you ? It must be tough being the High Priest of " I know what's wrong with the world".

As much as I disagree with Proud Muslima and her theology, I can agree with her right to do what you said.
My guess is that you said something that she found disgusting, and so she figured that she would not like to talk to you. I guess that's her right. Just as it is your right to condemn ALL religion for what she decided to do.
Maybe I am leaning her way because of you making all religion guilty by association. I think that I can see her point!

You can't personify religion and ascribe the actions of one member to the entire group. That's called generalizing.
What did you say though to get her upset.

It's not proof that all religion is cowardly (though I personally think most of it is a product of fear). It's just proof that one certain adherent to one certain religion is cowardly.

Wow. What a resounding triumph for reason. Someone decided she didn't want to hear from you, and consequently religion is cowardly.

I had someone claiming to be an atheist do that yesterday & I wasn't even being rude or out of line, I spoke truth- I guess what I said, kinda got to her...enough to flag me for a violation that was non-existant...... so your point is ??? Who is the coward?
*************************************************
Oh she blocked me also---- don't get me wrong--she was running with tail tucked between legs.
