No. It only reflects the name as it appears on your presentation ID (i.e., driver's license). So if you want your passport to be in your married name, you'll need to get your ID done first.

Status Of Us Passport

No it doesn't have your marital status.
If you already have it without your married name you can apply for a new one or you can carry around a copy of your marriage certificate with your passport. That way you can prove that your new name on all your other documentation is real. At this point I wouldn't apply for a new one since all the passport offices are so backed up! Just go with the marriage certificate with the old one.
If you haven't applied for one yet, use the name that you have on all your other official documents, like your driver's license and Social Security card. Have those changed first (if you haven't already) so there is no confusion when you go apply for your passport.

Us Passport Status

No, it doesn´t show your status, although in Germany, it does-my hubby is German.

Right now, you have to wait weeks to months to get a passport, so if I was you, I would apply right away. If you´re not married, and will be getting married, make all travel arrangements in your maiden name because if you apply before marrying, your passport should have the same name as your travel arrangements.

I got married and a week later flew with my husband-we told the airline person we were married just so they would seat us together.

US passports do not include marital status. My wife had a passport before we got married. After we got married she changed her last name. The Passport office simply stamped her old passport with her new last name. So in a way, you can sorta figure out she is married.

No. Your marital status is not on your passport. But, if you're changing your name after your wedding, you have to show proof of the name change, and you other identification must be in your new name.

No. You might have to indicate your marital status on the application - I'm not sure - but the passport itself gives no indication of your marital situation.

It will show your last name, and if you are changing your last name to your husband's then you should wait to apply for your passport until after you are married.

Not that I recall. They are good for 10 yrs and you don't have to renew if your marital status changes...however you do need to have the correct name on it or that could be an issue (if you are going to use his last name or your maiden name).
