It depends if they were disovlable or not... most Vets these days use the disolvable kind... but it sounds like yours are not. At this point it will kind of painful to remove them but they need to come out... because they will become bothersome for the cat & she may try to get them out herself & could hurt herself doing so... No Vet I've ever met charges to get the sutures removed unless they have to knock them out to do so... I must say this is very irresponsible of the owner... especially after doing the right thing by getting her spayed :(

I have two cats that got spayed as kittens... the vet used stiches that would dissolve themselves overtime.. no need to take them out. Their hair grew out after about a month and both have healthy and gorgeous bellies. Just have her call her vet to make sure that they are fine leaving the stiches in.... hope this helps!

We had my kitten spayed a couple of weeks ago and the vet told us that we did not have to bring her back in because the stitches would dissolve. Maybe you can call the vet and ask them if they use stitches that dissolve or if the cat needs to come back in.

some vets use stitches which dissolve... if you are concerned call her vet and ask what type he used and when they were supposed to be removed.

if it's been a month, and you see little stitch "knots" you can probably cut the stitch laying between each knot and simply pull them out with ease yourself.

i hope things work out... sending hugs.

most stiches are dissolvable these days... i'm sure kitty would have pulled them out if they weren't! ring the vet and ask if they're dissolvable!
