I live in Michigan and lately it seems as if so many more Dog Fights have been making headlines. Recently, a location in Detroit was raided as a Dog Fight was in progress. Not only were the Dogs seized but a Personalized Trophy was even confiscated from the scene.
I am completely disgusted with this form of Animal Cruelty! These innocent Dogs are being trained, battered, abused and used just so some SICK MINDED people can earn a few dollars. Since these Dogs are trained to fight they must be euthanized when taken into custody.
Tell me how you feel about Dog Fighting......Do you Agree? If so, please Star this Question. I would really like to know how many of you care about these Dogs. Thanks!

Yes I agree, and we can only thank Michael Vick not for dogfighting, but for drawing more attention to this nationwide problem. Not only are the dogs being abused by fighting and everything else, they are also neglected or tied to trees in someones backyard. They live and breathe, and feel feelings too, what kind of human would do this to an animal. I can only hope that if justice isnt given to all of them in this world, that they surely suffer and pay the price in the afterlife..or hell.

Yes I am so sick and tired of people using these poor animals for there own advantage, and then have the nerve to say they LOVE there dogs.... what crap!!!!! yea you love your dog so much that you would use that dog for your own pleasure! I'm sorry but I loathe anyone that is either into dog fighting or anyone that believes that the dogs love to fight or the morons that have the nerve to say they don't make the dog do what they don't want to, what bull crap you don't make the dog do what it didn't want! hey I'm sorry but If you give a dog the choice of a loving home with 3 meals a day all the hugs and kisses, toys galore and a nice bed in a corner of a warm living room or the life of a dog fighter worrying about being torn apart by another animal, living outside in squallier, only eating crap they want to feed you when ever they want or just plain being starved to death in order to make you mean. and god forbid loosing a fight, on top of being mawed half to death and feeling like crap because you got beat and then add to the indignity they take you out back to show you how week you are by shooting, hanging, or electrocuting you. which would you choose? so no they don't have a choice!!!!
And then when all is said and done and the person gets caught, the person gets maybe a couple of years in jail but the poor dog that didnt ask to be in this situation gets the death penalty! Yea It sickens me!

I totally agree that this has to be the worst thing ever! These poor animals do not deserve to be treated this way. It is the ghetto a$% people in this country that are too lazy to get off there behinds and get a job that partake in this so called sport. These people have no heart and should be punished to the highest extent of the law. They should be treated the same as rapist and child abusers.
I saw the same show on HBO and it was so terrible I could not stand to watch it. I love my dogs like they are my children. It is painful and sad that this continues in our country.
Also to Daddy in a box- You are really uneducated on this subject! Pit bulls are used as service dogs and search and rescue dogs. They could possible save your life one day. But if you get your wish then nothing will be there to help you out in your time of need. I think that there are bad pit's out there. But there are also sweet angles out there too like my pit. She would not hurt a fly. So before you start hoping for an animal to be extinct you should open your eyes to the real pit bull. Not the ones that the media speaks of. The true breed that has been raised in good homes with loving responsible owners. NOT THE ONES RAISED BY GHETTO PEOPLE WITH NO SCRUPLES!!!! GET A CLUE!

Oh my goodness, dog fighting is so unnecessary and cruel. I once saw a movie on pit bulls and it had some pictures after a fight, and it was horrible. I don't understand how the owners can just watch the dogs fight and sometimes even get killed. I love animals, and can't stand the thought that there are still dog fights going on out there.

I am a pitbull owner and they are pin pointing the responisble owners that care about their pitbulls. I am a pitbull owner and let me tell you they are people pleasers. they love peopleBut the people who commint this crime only get a mistimeaner. Its not going to stop untill they inforce the law to stop the fighting. I truely think they should have permits to have breeds like these, and have manitury go to obediance classes.If they take a certain breed away what makes you think that these sicko will not use some other animal and these sick people take people family pets from their own backyard. Something has to be done,but it wont till the govnerment does something about it.

Yes it is barbaric and disgusting. I'd rather see two grown men boxing than seeing dogs fighting. Those that engage in it at any level should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

I do not like taking innocent animals for any form of cruelty.I believe they should fine and make people do community work, plus jail time.Their should put a punishment out for these people that they will never repeat cruelty ever again against innocent animals.

I agree with you 300%.
I have ten dogs and I love them all. Am having some difficulties with my budget because of them but
just the thought of losing anyone of them brings a lump in my throat.
Dog fighting is a cruel "sport". Dogs are affectionate and loyal. They are our friends.
Any dog owner who allows his dog to go into dog fighting is nothing but an animal - the lowest kind.

Mostly true
But the dogs do not have to be euthanized just broken
Its painful to watch but necessary to insure the dog does not attack when slightly provoked

If you get HBO, watch this week's episode of "Real Sports". They do a story on dog fighting. It's difficult to watch (I closed my eyes several times), but it really illustrates what happens at these dog fights.
Many folks really like dog fights. There's a lot of money involved.
I find it primitive and disgusting.
