I've been called for it about 5 times, but all the lawyers drop me because I either was currently or had been a Policeman. I doubt that another 5 years will make any difference when each lawyer gets to ask the pertinent questions. So, I'll be called, show up and wast part of a day and then hang around waiting for jury call the following day and eventually be dropped because of my old job.
I'd love to have a wack at it but no defense lawyer would ever allow it.

Yes and the DA was a Demorat. Tony Tauge a real looser! He had no case at all and he made some poor gal go through the details of her sexual affair with a guy on the stand. The couple had already been convicted of trespassing. He just wanted to hang the guy for property damage. All these two people did was go F*** on a boat. The boat owner never complained! (a $200 TV was missing but the owner wasn't sure when it disappeared.). The DA dropped the case after hours of questioning as they dropped the case. The poor gal I felt sorry for her. All of the jurors were outraged. Tony Tauge is a real looser like most Demorats.

Yes...... sorry got to give you more.
I sat in the jury room for two weeks and was bored to tears. I didn't get on one jury. They didn't know I was a cop either, and yes cops can sit on juries in the UK.
