Yes, most dogs burp often. It is common for dogs to burp after a large meal, after drinking large amounts of water, or after eating something unsettling. I would never recommend giving your dog soda. Dogs cannot handle carbonated beverages, or the processed sugar and chemicals found in soda.

Well first off, don't give your dog soda. It is no better for him than it is for you (Not judging YOU for drinking soda, I am sipping on a Diet Coke myself right now) Your dog doesn't need soda and will be healthier with out it.

Second, yes dogs CAN burp. In fact one of my dogs almost NEVER farts but burps pretty regularly. It just depends on the dog.

Yes, dogs can burp. Loudly and frequently. I have one that signifies that her meal was satisfactory each and every day with a big old burp.

Don't give a dog carbonated beverages. The burp will become vomit. Their systems are not made the same as humans (example, they can eat and retain carrion) Sugar is a BIG no-no for dogs.

Don't give your dog soda. It isn't good for them. They don't process sugar or caffeine like we do.

But to answer your questions, yes dogs can burp. I have a pretty little white fuffy bichon that burps after ever meal. Its sort of funny.

Haha, yes they certainly can. My terrier burps sometimes after she has drank or eaten and my Doberman always burps after he has wolfed down his food!

Horses on the other hand, cannot burp or vomit. Thats why colic for them is often fatal. They swell and their stomach can burst.

But, lol, don't give your dog soda, its bad enough for us! They cannot digest processed sugar, along with all the other bad stuff..!

Good luck!

My chihuahua does not just burp, she BELCHES! She eats her dinner, sits down, suggestions her head again like she's going to howl and lets unfastened. Once we chuckle she wags her tail particularly rough. My husband swears if we didn't laugh her manners would improve.
