Get a mellon baller and a hand saw. Cut off the top of your skull and begin removing the sweet, sweet brain. If you don't have a mellon baller an ice cream scoop or large spoon will work. Once the brain is fully removed, ta dah, empty vessel. As an added bonus, put the scooped out brains in an ice cube tray and freeze. You can serve it as a refreshment at your next bible study.
Cheers!

It is my understanding that the term vessel, used in Charismatic terms, is the body of a person, who is asking the Lord to use them as a vessel for His service. Meaning, they will pray for others, [standing in the gap for others: praise the Lord!] ...or follow the Lord and help others, if He should so ask them to do so.
As for empty vessels, that sounds scary. That almost sounds like someone with no soul or spirit.
Yes, I give my life and will over to God. Jesus is my protector, guide, and Holy Shepherd. --- God fills "empty" vessels, as you call it.... but to become an empty vessel, it sounds like to become empty, without hope. --- I can only pray for those who would feel that way.

People are empty vessels when they are without Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit within them. There can be demons possessing people - but once the Holy Spirit enters in, those demons depart and the person is a new creature in Christ Jesus. Blessings dear one.

I don't think it means you're an "Empty Vessel", "Gullible" maybe, "Impressionistic" yes. I think "Empty Vessel" is you just trying to start up a little Athesit versus Christian flame war.
If you were more intelligent, perhaps you could read other questions in this section, which do not try to incite conflict, yet debate the topic, you may learn something.
Meanwhile, numbskulls such as yourself continue to make Athesist look like idiots.

All are empty vessels, fit for destruction, unless God chooses to make them otherwise.
2 Corinthians 4 (King James Version)
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

I think you are grasping at straws.
Go to the Bible to find out what God does with we who believe. He says He moves into these "vessels" AFTER he has cleaned them thru the blood of Christ and gives them the very righteousness of Christ.
We are human beings...NOT empty , mindless containers.
God can , and does , make us individual members of HIS BODY when we BELIEVE the death, burial and resurrection as sufficient to reconcile us to Himself.
He changes our identity from "in Adam" to "In Christ"

With proper education, on the contrary, schizoid delusional mental disorders like religious superstitions quietly go away. In some cases, a treatment with Zyprexa (use only as directed, talk to a psychiatrist) is also necessary.

If I am understanding you correctly (and I may not be), I agree that God will have a richer meaning in your life if you are open to listen to what He has to say. I mean, Christ said to "lay it all down and follow Me." The instructions don't get much clearer. However, I think there is a line to be walked between LGLO (Love God, Love Others) and fundamentalists that bomb abortion clinics. =D
