I am currently in a two week relationship with my girlfriend. We have known each other for about a month. We see each other at least five times a week and have a great time. She has two awesome kids and i love spending time with them and they seem to like me as well. This is the first girl i have ever dated with children but I am a very accepting person and have no problems with it at all. We both want to take this relationship slow and so far we have only kissed. The problem is when we are not together she texts me saying how much she misses me and how happy I make her. But when we are toether she doesnt show much affection. I understand that its a bit hectic with her kids home. Im not looking for a smothering of kisses or for her to throw herself at me. It just seems like I am always the one creating the affection. I have to try for a kiss or i have to go for the hug. Am I over analyzing this too much? Is she just taking it really slow? Is she just shy? Am i crazy? What am I to say?

I think the fact that she has kids shows that she may be a little 'gun shy' when it comes to relationships- she doesn't want to get hurt again, or have her kids see her go through that.
One month of knowing someone doesn't really give you the big picture. Two weeks of dating definitely doesn't.
Slow it down. See her less than 5 times a week. She'll come around when she's comfortable.

This is the first girl you have ever dated? If she knows this she may be taking advantage of your naivety. It sounds like her primary interest is finding a father figure for her children and you are quite a catch because you like kids and are accepting. Keep taking it slow and try to decide if y'all are made for each other or if it is simply a convenient relationship.

majority of the ladies in todays society sees it more nicer to write love notes but not actually talk face to face this is maybe been shy but hello welcome to a womans world and dont feel down that you are doing anyrhing bad you are actually taking the lead which is gooooodddd!!!!!!!
