No I don't agree. I have taken the first step and it was successful. If a guy didn't like it just because a girl made the first step, there is no way I could be with him.

I think that if you wait for a guy to take the first step, you give up the right to complain about not getting the guy you wanted. If you know who you want, you need to be the one taking the steps, you need to be the one persueing. I had a friend that, after I was married, complained that she would have been much better of a wife. (She was wrong...) When she asked why I never asked her out, I told her that I didn't think she was interested.

Guys should always take the first step. It is frustrating though, because sometimes guys are scared to ask. Even if they are a little more confident than others. Everyone is scared of rejection. I feel for the guys because I probably wouldn't be able to do it myself.

No, guys should not always take the first step.
If a women is interested, she should. I would not care if a woman approached me, in fact I'd like it.

To me, a girl who waits for the guy is setting herself up for possible disappointment when he does not ask. She is also playing a game, and I'm to old for games.

Not really. It doesn't matter who takes the first step. of course the first one to take the first step has more risk of being hurt.

I don't feel that its the guy makes the first move. If you want what you see, go get it! Men don't always want to b the one who has to start something. Actually get out there and do something about it. No need to wait and play head games...right? Good luck

No. This is 2007, not 1957.

If you're interested in someone, you go for it and take the first step.

If you don't, then you're clearly not interested.

A passive, "I must be catered to" kind of girl is just a turn-off.

usually I wont approach a girl unless she gives me some kind of signal or sign of interest.....subtle or not

so even though I make the introduction, its usually the girls ques that are the first step

Even if you're talking just of the introduction, women take that upon themselves all the time
