Neither. the Bible is full of STORIES. The people who read the stories may be full of questions, and they may 'find' some answers through their reading of the Bible, and they may find more questions at the same time. The Bible is an amazing book, it's an important book, and it is even a Holy book ... and it should be 'read over and over and over and over' ... from front to back, or according to the seasons, or verse by verse, chapter by chapter. That doesn't change the FACT that there is nothing 'scientific' (or particularly anti-scientific) in it ... in the end, ALL it is is a BOOK OF STORIES ... and like other books, some are good, some are bad, many are controversial ... but what they 'mean' is something that must be decided by each individual reader ... and those 'conclusions' can and should 'change' at the different times in the reader's lives ... which is what happens with 're-reading' ANY 'good book.'

In my opinion it leaves more questions than answers! !st off the bible is very simple and to the point, but people such as myself want to know every detail! Also the bible uses a lot of sayings or expressions like" the lamb will sit over the hill be worshipped by the trees". Hello, that makes no sense, but the bible does that a lot! A lot of the stuff in the bible can not be taken litterally, which leaves it open to many interpretations. The bible doesn't isn't writtien today for people to understand it, so it confuses people.

To me, the Bible is full of neither questions nor answers, but ideas, suggestions, and stories to get you thinking about how to be a good person. I don't think a 2000-year-old text should ever be taken at absolute face value as an instruction manual for your life. That would be like trying to program your iPod with an old Sony Walkman manual. Times change, and so do the rules. But you should never stop striving to be a good person full of compassion for others, and that's the only thing I've gotten out of all those Bible stories.

Every time you answer a question there are seven more, or eight, or nine. The answers are all in 20 pages, the whole Bible condensed, what Jesus said. Read that and see what you think.

The bible is full of both answers and questions, a little of each, and it's also full of a lot of something else.

I'd say it's mostly full of answers.
The only problem arises when you are trying to figure out what the questions are that correspond to those answers, and the Bible does a terrible job of that.
Which just raises further questions.

In Judaism, it's full of questions. "The study of Torah is equal to all of the commandments because it leads to them all." Babylonian Talmud, end of Tractate Shabbat 127a
If it's answers you want, the Christians have them all!

Yes. Both. Be careful what you look for. The purpose of the Bible is to guide you in how to live YOUR life. It's not a guide to tell others how to live their lives. It's not a great science or history reference either. Andn don't take bits and pieces out of context.
