As soon as Adam sinned, meteors changed course and started toward Earth, duh!

Now this has always been a big secret so who knows what's going to happen now that the truth "is out there!"

Asteroids and meteorites are miracles performed in Christian eyes.

It was one that caused the seas to turn red, the Red Sea to part, and the manna to fall from the heavens. So to start a believable cult to acquire the most followers, the early Christians claimed it was a pure intended act of God that was workings through Moses himself.

Oh the truth hurts!!!

Why should this be good, I don't understand? And why would Christianity, which is essentially a belief system, try to explain something that is in the domain of science?

I don't have any problem acknowledging science facts. In fact, I am totally fascinated by astronomy.

How does paganism explain where the end of the universe is? I wonder....

Interestingly, There are minerals found in meteorites, that are not native to the Earth, that are vital to our life.

Amazing how God provides for us!

It makes sense though becaue the scriptures tell us at Psalm 36:9 "For with you is the source of life"

Just because we cannot fathom why God did things the way he has, it does not mean that it isn't in our best interest. Mankind was never going to die. We would have lived on the Earth forever. Adam sinning changed that.

Before Adam sinned, weather would not have killed mankind. But because of sin, death entered the world. If weather can now kill us, why should meteorites be any different?

Well, asteroids are very large hunks of rock, ice and metals that float around in space, when they land on earth, they are large hunks of mostly molten rock, ice and metal sitting in a huge hole in the ground.

Meteorites are very similar to asteroids, just smaller and less catastrophic.

Oh ,wait...scientists don't believe in catastrophe since that means that there is a plan that was altered by the event....which means that there is something making that plan....and a cosmic planner sounds a lot like a deity...

Dang, I knew I would slip up somewhere...

Well...this one will BLOW YOUR LITTLE MIND!!!!

Ready?...........

We explain them as....(wait for it) ......they are asteroids and meteorites that are drawn into the gravitational force of the earth..and as a result of that...they impact the earth's surface!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!
You have Christians confused with Muslims who worship a big meteorite which is contained in that big black box in Mecca.

What's to explain?
Stuff from space sometimes enters our atmosphere and gets burned-up on the way down.
You might recall as God began the population of the earth, the original couple rebelled.
This put a few things on hold.
First, the earth gets back to paradise with willing, cooperative volunteers ....then God (and maybe us) will give attention to the materials outside our atmosphere.
In the meantime, enjoy the view!

I'm surprised at the number of answerer's that totally missed the implications of this question. If the universe was created, then God created "space junk" that would sometimes hit the world and wipe out portions of its population. There are also implications for the age of the universe as well if God created a universe filled with objects that appear to be billions of years old, is he lying to us in his infallible word?

I'm sure they'll say that only this planet is 6000 years old.

But I've always wondered how they explain the existence anyway. I mean, asteroids, black holes, supernovas, deadly radiation clouds... all these things exist out in space, away from earth, but earth is where Satan and sin are found.

If sin is only on earth, then why is there so much chaos, destruction, and imperfection outside the planet?

Don't confuse Christianity with creationism. I know Christians who are smart enough to dispel the ignorant belief that the earth is 6,000 years old, and embrace intelligent THEORIES instead.
