Always best to do the movie first.....more to talk about over dinner.

Do dinner first so you can save money on the over priced popcorn and sodas at the theatre! Besides, you don't want to fill up on junk at the movies and end up taking home a doggy bag from the resturaunt (What if you decide to go out for drinks or dancing after dinner? Nothing worse than a car that smells of spicy leftovers after a few hours!).

Have Fun and make sure you have a designated driver! ;)

Doesn't matter much.

I do dinner first. Keeps me from buying a lot of overpriced junk food at the theater.

Yank has a point. But if I'm in the mood to discuss the movie I usually hit a coffee shop.

Movie first so you can discuss it over dinner - plus the matinee (even the 5 whatever showing most times) is a little cheaper which means you can go to a nice place for dinner or maybe even grab drinks afterwards!

i think i wi'll do dinner first;that way you will save some money and you won't have to stand in a long line trying to get snacks .especialy if you have kids with you they might need to go to the bath room then you will loose your place in line.and some times the line is too long and you end up missing parts of the movies. then you can sit down and relax and enjoy the movies.

I love enjoying good dinner while watching movie at the same time.....pause when needed like restroom break etc...and then when you finish the dinner, get those bag of chips, snacks, beer, nachos, string cheese, peanuts, pop corns and enjoy rest of the movie..lol

if it's not a date, i guess it wouldnt matter. i would suggest both at same time! there is a theater in my area, that serves food at the same time as the movie, it's great! if there is one in your area, check it out!
