Yes
Romans 10:14 - 15
14How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

I agree with full gospel shirley :) That is ONE of the reasons that my husband & I don't watch TV . There was NOTHING "good" on any more & alot of what they (the programmers) were wanting to "run" was (and still is from what I have heard) SO terrible in so many ways!! Not to mention that most of the News broadcasts were all about demoralizing everything...all the time. We (my husband & I ) made a decision to just turn the "tube" off & spend time doing "better" things!!
God has made our lives SO much happier now!

Yes it has become an idol to you. Anything, and I mean anything we do that takes our time that should be Gods is an idol to us. It might be tv watching, the movies, reading books, even too much church activity.. many things. WE all need time with God in His precious word and unceasing prayer. Great question. thanx for asking. Hope it makes us all think a lot more about where we spend our time. God bless you.

If I take the question literally I say yes. But we should try to worship God in everything we do even watching TV. The question is do you put off what you should be doing FOR God to watch TV. If TV is keeping you away then it is better to pluck out your eye the Bible says.

In a word – yes. But understand that worship is more than attending church or getting down on your knees to pray.
Good deeds are an act of worship. Tithing is an act of worship. Avoiding sin is an act of worship. Simply wishing Jesus would return right now is an act of worship.
"Always on my mind" would be the right perspective and for those who truly love the Lord it isn't that difficult at all.

That is a pretty loaded question in my opinion. I think that a Christian should live their entire life in a way that is worshiping God- in all things we do. Now if you can't pull yourself from your television in order to read your Bible or pray, or if you don't read your Bible or pray at all because you want to watch television then you have a problem. There isn't anything wrong with watching television- be careful what you watch though. It is more of a question of you putting television before God being the problem.

I am not into religion and I actually oppose it, but hear me out...
This is a ridiculous question...
You eat at least three times a day...Do you worship your food more then your God.
You put on clothes everyday...Do you worship your clothes more then your God.
You have to go to work everyday to put food on your table, clothes on your back, and a roof over your head...Do you love work more then your God.
I hear so many Christians claim to have God in their hearts, so if you do, wouldn't he be with you always...even watching your TV and living your life. Worship is showing love and appreciation for something. Do love your TV more then your faith? It just doesn't make sense that because you spend time doing something you enjoy, you would be smited by your God....But what do I know...I'm just an atheist.

Yes, unless the show you're watching has some benefit to your relationship with God (my grandma watches TBN, so in that case, the TV's not an idol).

Yes, once something takes place of God being the #1 priority in your life, than it is considered an idol. Same thing for smokers, or money obsessed people.

lol, in the church I used to go to it was considered an idol and several members of the congregation got rid of their tv's because of that very reason and the pastor had a tick on his but about it one sermon. I am going to go worship my TV for a while and feed the kid, Blessings
