I know I have faith, I'll always be doubted. Long since lost interest in living like this too. Just in it for the sex and kid now.

You have to have a basis for faith and you have to use wisdom in how you apply it. For instance, all human beings make mistakes and have faults and so you can't have 100% faith in a person, not even in your self since you know that you have let your self down at times.
But if a person has trusted in Jesus for their salvation and they are showing the evidence of a changing life as the Holy Spirit transforms them over time into the likeness of Christ...if they show evidence of a commitment to walking with God and trying to live a life that is pleasing to Him...then you can at least have faith in their intentions while realizing that even the best of Saints will still fall short and sometimes even be tempted to back slide and do wrong.
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
