Or is more along the line of the "country club" penitentiaries you often hear about...?

Well, they have the "lake of fire" golf courses there, I heard. But the catch is if your ball is hit into the lake you are required to dive in after it. That when the maximum security part kicks in.

Depending on your degree of sin you have to play up to 3 rounds a day or as little as one a week. So it is a fair system, relatively speaking.

LMAO! Probably maximum security. If you want a great description of hell read "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man". There's a good section where a priest describes hell. There are some of Aquinas' ideas in this description when when talks about "the worst part of being in hell is being separated from the love of god" or something like that. It's really good writing.

The lake of fire, what many call hell, is permanent and forever. There is no escape. There is however, reason to believe it offers various levels of discomfort based on the works performed on earth. But the bottom line is this – those in the lake of fire will forever lose the opportunity to commune with God.

different religions have a way to look at it.

but u havn't heard of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermax . hehe..

unlike a prision, the religions around the world believes that u get punished there, not by confinement, but pain and suffering.

there is one belief that states hell is a place where evil goes, computeres and all the "fun" stuff of society locates. and heaven is just a field of really green grass

Maximum security, but not on the exits, on the ENTRY. Only funloving people with their own moral compass, can enter.

Have to watch out for those who envy the good food, wine and we all know only the best musicians will be there.

The Scripture says, ".....There is a great gulf fixed between thee and we that we cannot cross over to you, nor you cross over to us...." (From the parable of the rich man and Abraham discourse in the NT) I'd say it's pretty much maximum security......

Nope. It is Maximum Insecurity, given the focus group that purports its existence.

Maximum security isn't needed. What's the worst they can do? Kill people?

Hell is not a physical place. It’s simply a temporary "separation from God," chosen by those who choose not to be good.
