Do you remember before you were alive? No? Well that's also what it's like after you die. If you're religious - Im sorry to ruin the myth.

Ah well, at least all of the fanatical religious types who rely on a crutch for their existence can now start doing something productive with their lives, instead of doing crazy things in the name of a book that was written in the dark ages, by people further down the evolutionary ladder.

I also saw some cave drawings once which implied that we are supposed to worship the sun but I'm reserving judgement about that too.

In short, religion used to fill a gap in our understanding of the world and universe around us. Those gaps are now being filled by hard scientific facts. Maybe we should all worship scientists instead?

Sweetest element i've got heard... Mine might must be years in the past, while i become instructed 10 5-pound baggage of sugar become entering the keep, the place i become dealing with. Now that sweetness is even measurable.. Do I win a cookie?

Well done on finding the answer - why didn't we think of that earlier? ;)
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the more and more scientists discover about the universe, the more they are acknowledging that the most logical way forward is for science and religion to work hand in hand. YOu'll find many scientists don't believe that science and religion have to be mutually exclusive.

Hi!

Yes, just like i have stated before, death is the same thing as before you were born, or for that matter conceived!

A nothingness!!

I also mentioned in one of my last questions, that the sun 'would' be a more beneficial thing to 'worship', it can be seen by everyone in the world, physically 'gave' and 'gives' us light, heat and 'life'!!!

It 'could' unite mankind, on a global scale, like never before, although, i would want to see it 'worshipped' in a more rational, scientific way!! ....lol.

Although, one bright spark replied:
'How can we in Britain worship the sun, we never get to see it!'

LOL!!

Religion 'will' die out, it is only a matter of time, before the free thinkers, believing in science and fact, take over the minds of the believers in myth.

The population of Earth, 'will' one day be rid of the mental chains, that have enslaved us and divided us, for far too long!!!

To imply that religious people don't do anything productive with their lives is absolute nonsense. In fact most of the non religious people I know do total zilch with their lives but scrounge of those people who have the decency and morals to earn their own living. I wonder what you do with your life, what sort of contribution do you make to society. Anyway, just because you don't remember life before birth, doesn't mean others don't. You ought to read a book called 'Voices from the womb' by Michael Gabriel, M.A. It might open your eyes a bit.

No we should not worship science or scientists, as one of the "self correcting" mechanisms of science is allowing it to be criticized and reviewed. Worshiping something tends to put a big damper on this healthy activities.

Hit the nail on the head, old bean.

Not sure about worshipping scientists though. Maybe we should just give them the credit they deserve, and stop wasting our time listening to crazed religious leaders who demand that we respect them for feeding us a load of made-up crap?

why do you assume that the reader does not remember before they were born? what if someone does? kinda blows your point out of the water huh?

if someone has amnesia, does that mean that they did not exist up to that point?

FOR YOU "God" might be a way to fill a gap, but what I belive in as God I do, at least after a fashion, understand. why would I belive it if I didn't at least have a general concept of what it was?

why do you assume that because YOU cannot remember a segment of your past, that nobody else can remember any of their past?

I wouldn't mind being worshiped...

lol but I think it'd be better if everyone had a degree in one science or another.
