ive recently heard that, there is now a cure for RP patients where by doctors replant light cells onto the eyeball again, but is this proces still experimentally based or, has it been certified by the medical council as an effective way of curing RP

This is still in the research stage. There have been some results, but very few to take the research definitively to the next level. It will probably be a few years until studies open up on a widespread basis. As for a cure...genetics are working on it, have begun isolating the gene mutations, just working on how to 'correct' or bridge those mutations.

Talk with your optometrist, or RP specialist and when studies open up in your area, if you would like to participate, then work closely with them to get you enrolled.

Retinal implants are very experimental now. Results have been limited to patients who are totally (no light perception) blind and have restored light/dark perception, but no form perception.

The link provided by hmark is quackery, they are trying to scam your money.

not anywhere close to widespread use of that method. definitely still VERY experimental.

so...no. there will not be a "cure" for RP anytime soon.
