Jeremiah 10 1-4

This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.

We should BURN THESE TREES just like we burn THE SATANIC ATHEISTIC SPELLBOOKS of HARRY POTTER!

What do you NOT get about THE WORD of GOD? He says "do not"! He says they are "worthless"!

Yeah, and while your at it, during easter you should burn little bunny rabbits. I'm not a Christian (I'm Jewish) but I love Christmas trees. How in the heck does a tree have anything to do with Jesus? It smells good and you can decorate it (my little cousins are Catholic and I help them decorate their tree). If you see santa clause, better kill him too. Sin! SIN!!!!

Tel me something - why does it seem that the verses you quoted (which were for the tribes of Israel) are more important to you than this?

Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

I personally think that worshipping idols and making these trees your god, it is surely as SIN, but if you worship God only, then i don't see why having a Christmas tree in your house would be a sin, because it's simply celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ...in fact it's just all about HIM!!!!

It's a shame you read into this what is not there.

They cut down a tree.

A "craftsman" (one who is talented in woodcarving, in this case) shapes it with his chisel.

This is hardly what happens to a "Christmas" tree.

This is speaking of one who carves a piece of wood into an idol.

I've NEVER seen anyone bow down and worship a Christmas tree.

Also, you violate the first rule of biblical scholarship: Who is speaking, and who is being spoken to?

God is speaking to Israel; a people who were constantly turning to idols and idol worship.

And Harry Potter is FICTION!

Christmas sucks; christmas trees suck; the whole thing is in honor of Nimrod-a most evil man. After his uncle killed him for marrying his own mother, Semiramis, and having a son to her, Nimrod's body was cut into twelve pieces (twelve days of "christmas"), and Semiramis ordered trees from Lebanon to hang the pieces of his body on to commemorate his "legacy". Guess which piece was missing? Yet, every year at winter solstice (Nimrod's death), millions of Christians observe this most pagan holiday without ever realizing how much energy they put into deifying Satan's number one man of those times. Ahhh, the traditions of men.

Uhh....ok it doesn't say anything in there about Christmas trees...I don't nail mine to the floor, I don't have a craftsman chisel it....oh wait...

Isn't that what you sortof do with chairs and beds and tables?

If you burn the forests...good luck in your arson case...

I am a Christian....

And I put up a tree every year.

I don't worship it....
I don't bow down to it....

It is simply a harmless tradition.

Christ is the reason for Christmas......

I'm sorry but.....you're wrong
