Lol, I think I may have just passed by this question if your title wasn't so funny lol...
It really depends on what you are cooking. I usually like to make barbequed pulled pork in mine and it usually fills the kitchen with a smell (a smell that i love by the way, ah. starving).. but anyway yeah some things will smell more than others.
If you are using lots of spices I'm sure that you will be able to smell what you're cooking but it's never unbearable. It will go away pretty fast once you're done.
If you want the smell gone faster... just open a window, light a candle, air freshener... etc.
So what's for dinner? I'll be there at 6.

No, I don't think so. When I use my slow cooker I usually put my food in, turn it on and then leave for work. Depending on what I'm making sometimes I can smell it when I get home and other times not until I take off the lid. Even when I can smell it, it's always a pleasant scent because it's the aroma from a food I like. The smell never seems to linger long after the food is gone.

Well, yeah, but you want to make a good smell.
I cook my corned beef in a slow-cooker. I put it on before I go to bed and when I get up in the morning it smells heavenly and the dogs are absolutely slobbering over the smell...

Using a slow cooker (or Crock Pot) does emit the great smells of whatever is cooking, but, that is what makes cooking with one so great! If you are cooking something that you don't want to smell up your house, try puting the crock pot on a porch or patio while it is cooking! In the south, when people cook chitterlings (yeah, they are nasty!) they cook them outside because of the smell.... Good luck!

it takes a lot longer to cook
and cooking smells will be around
the house longer, but once its been cooked
and turned off the smell will subside
depending on what exactly you have cooked
some foods ie:fish,curries,
will smell for days however you are cooking it
and the worst culprit is deep fried food the smell of hot oil gets everywhere and into clothes like something rotten

you are able to prepare dinner any recipe in a sluggish cooker which you may simmer on top of the range. the two issues you may desire to observe are the liquid and the spices you utilize. Liquid does not boil away in the sluggish cooker so decrease a million/4 of the liquid called for in the recipe and easily use 3/4.of it. till you will use the liquid as gravy Spices are intensified in a sluggish cooker so use a easy hand. attempt doing a roast in it. placed a layer of onions decrease in jewelry and carrot circles in the backside Then upload the roast pro with salt and pepper and a few pork broth. prepare dinner on low for 8 hours

It will smell up your whole house something fierce. Although that could be a good thing. When I make curried chicken, my house smells awesome for days.
