Yes. If you look at history, Zionism really is a form of discrimination.
If the Israelis really did want to live together with Arabs and vice versa, they would have been living together already. The conflict is extremely deep rooted.
US policy should try to promote greater dialogue, not violence.

They do live peacefully together in many western antions, along with Christians, Buddhists, Sikh, Athiests and other believers and non-believers.
There are a lot of places in the world that tolerate trouble makers, who propagandize nonsense.
The land that was given to Israelis was not taken from someone who had a right under international law to that land for all time. It was land that the Jews used to occupy long time ago, were driven from, and got back.
A few hundred years ago, the Pope called upon Christian Kings of Europe to recover the Christian holy land from the Muslims who now occupied it. Several invasion forces, called Crusades, were sent in there. The Muslims of the time kicked Christian butt. All of the Crusades were defeated. It was a glorious victory for the Muslims.
Now most places in the world, when one side wins a war, the history books are written glorifying the great good done by the winning side. But for some reason I just cannot fathom, the Muslim victories over the Crusades are painted by some Muslim Academia as a horrible chapter in history, where they need to fight that war again. But the political reality is that if they push it, the result will be that many Muslim lands will get nuked, because the Christian nations are no longer interested in conquering the Muslim lands, but are armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons, and have the ability to kick Muslim butt if the trouble makers insist on a modern day Crusades.

There is a town in Israel called Hebron. Within the town is a certain building. Under its floor are contained the graves of Abraham and Sarah. One side of the building is a mosque. The other side has a synagogue.
The only despicable incident that intruded into this place of peaceful co-existence was a doctor in the Reserves of the Israeli Defense Forces entering the mosque during Friday prayers and machine-gunning those within. Even so, the Friday prayers continue in the mosque and Shul is celebrated in the synagogue.
Small example. But, it's a start.

Any Christian who studies the Bible will know that the conflicts between Arabs and Jews were foreseen. Genesis 8 gives a great description of the beginning of these conflicts. Abrahams son, Ishmael (father of the Arabs), was the first born, causing him to believe the land promised to Abraham belonged to him (firstborn always received the fathers possessions). When Isaac (father of the Jews) was born, God promised Isaac the land...and so the conflict begins. Many Christians believe Ishmael to be unimportant to them, but on the contrary, the Bible states that God gave him land as well (just not Isreal)...
So, with further study (books of Daniel, Matthew...), it is illuded that the entire middle east plays a key role in the development in Gods Plan.

Sorry to break it to you pal, but the Talmud is a book of Jewish chauvinism and double standards where gentiles are considered less human and not worthy of the same treatment as Jews. The Koran dictates that all the world will have to convert to Islam or die, and Mohammed was far more a warlord than a prophet. They have antagonizing religious beliefs that root down to the very core of their society and thought. The question is, Do Jews and Muslims really want to live in harmony and toleration? and that I believe would be a no.

Time was when God prefereed th Israelites and freed them from the Egyptian bondage and promised a land for them!He created a way in the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites to escape and drowned the pursuing Pharoah and the Egyptian army.
While Moses was closetted with God, the Isarelites started worshiping a callf'head! Moses became angry and threw away the slabs containing Ten Commandments!
Once they reached the promised land, they preferred their own way and deviated from the Talmudic religion. They challenged the prophets sent to them by God and killed many.
They declared that they had Jesus crucified and killed by the Roman rulers! God took away Jesus bodily and another person was crucified in his place. They are not yet sure about it.
TheCrucification Theory lent itself admirably to 'passion plays' and create waves of sympathy for the victim. Hence, the early christians used it to their best advantage.
Once the christian wave spread, the Jews joined hands with Roman rulers to persecute them.
Saul, a jew with Roman citizenship rights, persecute the christians. When he found that the new religion is gaining, he made a somersault and became a christian and changed his name as Paul! Paul soon gained ascendancy in the new faith and became an Apostle. He created a church and gave fillip to christianity. He was responsible, to some extent, in writing the Holy Bible and claim it as the'word of God'!
He caused a communal clash between his followers and that of James. brother of Jesus. He caused the assasination of the latter. Then he rebelled against Roman rule. He was put behind the bars and ultimately crucified.
Agin in 135 A.D. the jews revolted against the Romans , they were exiled and sold as slaves in Byzantine
.Thus, from 135 to 1877, they were roaming in Europe and the christians lynched them and systematically decimated them under"pogroms".
In 1877 they entered Palestine as "refugee"' and in 1948 they had established a Jewish state!
Those who sympathized with them had no qualms of conscience for not establishing an Arab Palestine state also.
Thus due to political pressures only these two communities are engaged in bitter dispute.
If the world opinion could impel the UN to establish a state called Palestine as per 1947 UNSC resolution , they could live in peace for ever.

Moslems have been unable to live with anyone in peace and harmony. They declare death to the West, plot secretly then fly planes into buildings, and even kill one another, so the chances of them living in peace with anyone are nearly nil. Look at their countries. They're hellholes. All of them, even the ones with lots of oil money.

The common problem here is their religious belief system that has caused blood-shed for centuries. Get rid of the belief system and you will find that most people share the same desires. Peace, good education, possibility for advancement, enjoyment, safety for themselves and their families etc. Scary , isn't it that a concept can cause so much division amongst families, nations and peoples
