Every time somebody posts a question critical of Islam on here, muslim respondents immediately jump on the defensive, or attack the questioner. Why?
It is obviously a religion/culture with major problems, and yet not one muslim seems to wish to address them. The last two questions i posted raised some valid points, but not one muslim addressed them, or was even REMOTELY prepared to accept that i had a point, even on something indesputable like Darfur, or the treatment of Assyrians in Iraq!
Instead you get people trotting lines from the Koran, Racial abuse by Panadol or whoever he is, or flat denial!
Its no wonder islam is so intolerant, you can see that by the respondants on here!
Sure some questions are abusive, and its fair enough to react to that, but some ae actually making valid points.

And i agree, a lot of Christians act the same way on here, particularly Catholics from whit ive seen so far!
And i dont say ALL muslims are unable to accept criticism or respond to it logically, just those on here so far.

You only have to look at some of the answers gven here to see why...
Because they are often the most bigoted and racially abusive people... they then hide behind their religion.
For example the one who wrote here that why should they not be proud of being non-drinkers, and their wives dont look like ****?
Ok!!!
So, tell me why so many english girls get so p***ed off with being groped by alcahol swilling muslim guys who leer and then have the audacity to call u a b**ch if you tell them flatly no, leave me alone?
I have experience of muslim men, I have been touched by my boyf's friends on more than one occaision, had them try to walk in my room on some pretext or other, when ive complained theyve then told my boyf that i was coming on to them!!!
Have been called a wh*re for not wanting to be spoken to by guys in the street, then had all the islamic stuff shoved down my throat as if they are Mohammed's right hand man!
No Im not kidding, ask anyone anywhere!
And as for not wanting their wives to look like whatever... U kidding right?
My husband is from syria and believe me the pretty girls are all assyrian... well, they're not knocked up every other year and look 60 before theyre 30 do they?
Their husbands are more faithful too... oh and they dont go around killing their families just because they dont like some small thing and think they have an Allah given right to kill in the name of Islam!

Put yourself in the Muslims' shoes. If someone said something critical about your people, would you appreciate it? Would you willingly accept that criticism? And when you go criticizing these other people, does that make you any better than them? SOME muslims perform acts of terrorism. They sin. You criticize. You sin too! Are you really any better? And don't say that "at least I didn't kill nobody!" You and the terrorists both sinned. Instead of criticizing other people, look inside of yourself and see if you're perfect. I'm sure you'll find an amount of impurity within you. Work to change yourself. Don't go attacking other religions. The bible says "judge not that you be not judged". Besides, not all Muslims are terrorists! I'm very sure that there are hundreds of muslims who are much better of a person than you. Even you must accept that fact.
I guess the point I'm trying to make here is Stop Judging People cos you don't know them. Ok? Hope you're not offended by my answer.

I think questions about another religion should be genuinely out of curiosity and without the obvious malice behind some of the questions. Clearly a question has to be worded very carefully or the target religion will read between the lines and answer in a defensive or aggressive manner. Other than that I believe the question should be answered to the best of your ability, objectively, if you are going to answer it at all.

muslims do not accept criticism because they thing islam is the best religion and should not be criticised. why would you want to criticise someone who does not drink/ use drugs has a wife who does not look like a **** ans so much more. they have a good behaviour not lise some christians people. why criticise a muslim who is better than you?
until their ready to murder someone then they go out on the town women drinks you name it. Its OK because they are forgiven after they kill themselves and killing the Innocent victims in the name of alla. their ticket to heaven is murder.
Yes all muslims are the same a bunch of roaches that should be squashed.
the QURAN is a book of death for the unbeliever plain and simple.

I totally agree wih you. But shhh keep your mouth shut you might start a terrorist attack!!
It annoys me how some not all muslims like to resort to violence when they are challenged. Isn't religion about piece???? that's one thing i don't understand. In every holy book all people are seen as brothers and sisters so how can they kill all these innocent people who have done nothing wrong. All we are doing is going about our everyday life trying to make a life for ourselves and our families and they think that they have the right to kill the public because apparently we voted for the government?? We are the ones on their side, we only live in the country we don't run it, so don't take it out on us.
NOT ALL MUSLIMS ONLY THE BRAINWASHED ONES.

They have been openly insulted by the political head of the single most important religious institution, in a speech that was well thought of, considered, studied, probably written out and rehearsed for hours. They have been the object of a defamation, and not by an ordinary Catholic John Doe. And you cannot understand why they cannot accept it?

i think they should try to get a sense on humour and lighten up a little.
i don't think that followers of any religion have the right to force their beliefs and customs down other people's throats, demand that the country they are living in bend to their ways, nor judge followers of other religions. i know it's happened in the past (the crusades etc) and religion is one of the main causes of war, but isn't it about time to chill out and cut people some slack? live and let live people!
believe what you want, but don't force others to do the same and don't condemn them for believing something different!

I think that eveyone should use Muslims as an example of what to be like. They are healthy, virtuous, strong, and they are the prototype in so many ways. They stick together, they know how to command respect etc etc etc. Christians are actually falling from their religion.

I whole-heartedly accept constructive criticism, but if I think you're wrong, or if I have somethng further to add then I'm not going to keep my mouth shut. Isn't the whole point of asking questions to elicit a response? Remember that the inflammatory nature of questions may invoke inflammatory answers.

The feel best when they cry, feel sorry for themselves, and show their hurt feelings with random acts of violence. For those here who feel that they do not fit within this stereotype, look at your pals in Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. It is certainly true for a lot of muslims.
