I see several have answered that if an amputee believes, god will heal him. So, apparently, no amputee EVER has believed, since no amputee EVER has been healed? That seems incorrect to me. I'm sure there are many amputee christians.

Also, i see someone entered that healing amputees would be too much proof for atheists. Wouldn't god want this proof to exist?

I think that the main point for a Christian is to give God credit for all good things. That is what Jesus told us to do.

However, as far as God healing all our illnesses now-- it won't happen.

If he did, he would have given all Christians eternal life now!

Thus at the moment, we are permitted to grow old, get ill, and finally die. Yes, it is true that at times prayer may help, especially with pain. But it is a very momentary help usually that needs to be repeated soon.

Thus since he permits us all to get colds, influenza, cancer, diabetes -- why should he heal amputees more than the others?

This type of healing shall occur once the kingdom has been established, not before.

God will heal all of the amputees who place their faith in the Lord Jesus. He just isn't going to do it like some "on call stage magician" but at the time of His choosing.

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

God doesn't always heal the sick and suffering. He has a plan for everyone. A lot of people die from sickness every day. And he has a reason why someone would get amputated. You can't grow your leg back, I'm sorry but that would make it too obvious for the atheists that God is ALIVE, and God wants you to believe in him with your spirit, not your eyes. Get what I'm saying?

Our immune system fights infection and sickness....we can't spontaneously regrow a lost limb...

God doesn't exist....

Seems like god might be a bit powerless there.

Let me guess the usual answer to this.....................................
"You can't possibly understand the will of god. But he really could do it if he wanted to, he just doesn't want to right now."
