Faith without works is dead.
Many people claim to be Christians, but there actions are very much unlike Christ. Take the case of President Bush, who says that he is a Christian, but his actions shows that he is not. On the otherhand look at President Carter who does not boast of his faith, instead he shows it everyday by building homes for the poor. A true believer acts because of his faith, not because he is going to get some reward later. A true person of faith does not use religion to advance themselves financially, or to get rewards, but does so because it is the right thing to do.

Everyone SHOULD be good for the fact that it would be the RIGHT thing to do. That would ALSO include the atheists who seem to sit back and blame religion for all of the world's problems rather than actually get out there and do something to solve world problems.
Our atheists friends prefer to sit back and insult religions and try to start conflict rather than peacefully co-exist with others.
You have good and bad people in any religion and particularly in non-religion, where it is specifically stated that everyone should be most concerned with "self" rather than selflessness.

It would be better wouldn't it? Most Xians don't understand that some people (atheists) don't need someone telling them they will go to hell in order to do good deeds. Morals exist, and it isn't because of God... isn't that amazing.
Xians make up somewhere around 85% of the jails. They also have a higher divorce rate than atheists. I speak only the truth.

That's a good point I agree however, I am a Christian and I'm not good because I want to get to heaven but rather because I enjoy being and doing good to others because I believe everyone is created in the likeness of God so should be treated with respect regardless of race, religion or class.

Being good will never get one into Paradise, nothing but the Blood will save ones soul from hell. Yes, the intent of a man's heart is evil all the time, not one does good.

True.
Who do I respect and trust more: The atheist who acts honorably because he/she takes pride in being a good person, or the theist (of any religion) who only behaves under threat of hell from God. Answer is hands down the atheist

I don't actually know. There are some Christians (albeit rare) who genuinely do follow the path of Christ, and do good by their own will, rather than being tempted with heaven and threatened with hell.
And yes they are better than the others.

"Christians Gone Bad" Sounds like a new T.V. series. The funny thing is, all men are bad, and that is why we need a savior.
Mark 10:18
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
Jesus was God.

Not really, the entire premise of Christian, Jewish and Islamic faith is all false. So being a member of a faith for any reason is just plain wrong. It can only promote ignorance and intolerance.
