nothing should close down just because an American wants to holiday here, let him deal with Aussie live like any tourist has too
he is lucky to be allowed in our great country,no special treatment for anyone!
And let him go through customs like everyone else and let him see our custom officers are not rude and arrogant like the ones in the states

Actually he would be Mr President not Mr Prime Minister Bush. I agree with you but there are more people coming than just Unlce George. They need to shut down Sydney because he is one of the most hated men in the world and there are a lot of psycho's that would want to do away with him and in fact some not so psycho's :)

It seems amazingly stupid to have such a meeting in a big city with the consequent inconvenience to so many people. They could have had the meeting on the banks of the Murrumbidgee in Wagga Wagga. Does it matter where they are when they talk? There is a convenient army base near Wagga for security.

i think it's insane they are shutting it down, and is going to be a great inconvenience for all sydney siders. i dont understand why they can't do the whole meeting via web cams and the internet, surely there is technology to do so very easily and much cheaper without causing such a fuss. Bush needs to get over himself and stop wasting australia's money and put it to a better use.
