Stephen, what spiritual Q's would you like to ask now? since they were given a blanket back then.
That must have been annoying and confusing for you as a youngster.
God does'nt do either so message away Q's to me if you like and I can only try and help? ...Truely

Because Satan tries to keep everyone blind and keeps them from being saved - even trying to destroy everyone if possible. Only the braves and fighters will stand against the devil and resist him by practicing and following righteous way.

Hope this help all you!

It isn't a matter of why I can't but why I chose not to do so. I was born into a Baptist family and had a falling out with the Church when my spiritual questions were given blanket answers that didn't make sense to me. After much reading I found Wicca and I am much happier with this faith. It does answer my question in ways that makes sense to me.

I do not believe in the idea of the "original sin" nor that I should be blamed for something someone else supposedly did ages ago. There is no proof that this ever happened and I refuse to feel guilty about this when I had nothing to do with it.

I do not believe that religion should be about fear of man or any God. I do not believe that you should spend your life begging for forgiveness for something you didn't do.

I believe we are here to live, enjoy, celebrate life, and learn. I believe we are a part of Nature and it is our responsibility to help take care of the Earth. I believe that the Divine doesn't sit on some alternate plane of existence and just judge us, we are a part of it and it is a part of us all.

I know a lot of this might sound strange and alien to you, but these are my beliefs and I believe I have just as much right to them as I feel you have a right to yours.

Blessed Be )O(

I am a Deist. I believe in a Creator, a Deity. I believe faith is not necessary but that reason alone leads to the conclusion of Intelligent Design. I do not wish to impugn other people who are people of faith. We arrive at the same conclusion in different ways. I have no issue with Agnostics, either. I find them to be honest. I do take issue with Atheists. I have found them to be either drawing illogical conclusions from existing science or misrepresenting what science is demonstrating. They try to convince others that what is only a belief system is fact.

I challenge that. I see Atheism for what it is. It basically, is a secular religion no more based on fact than any other. I find it to be dangerous in that it leads to moral relativism.

To answer your subsequent question: It is not that I can't or won't it is that I don't. It is reason that has led me to my conclusions. For me it would be a lie to say anything else.

To answer your final question: I do not have a 'fear of man" nor do I fully understand the term. The only thing else I would like to say is, if you believe in your religion and it teaches you to be a good person, I have no problem with that. I have no desire to "convert" you or to make fun of your beliefs. I wish you well.

EDIT-
Atheism is a secular religion because it is based on belief not a fact.

I believe in "God" just not the way most people do. I believe that there's a universal connection between all things, living and dead, animal, human or otherwise, and I call that God, because it's the most fitting word in our language. But I don't subscribe to the idea of the Biblical God. It just doesn't make sense to me. I'm thankful for everything good in my life, and even some of the bad. I believe that there's a general plan for my life, which is ever-changing, and I believe that things happen for a reason and have a way of always working themselves out. Call that God if you like.

But I don't believe that I need to sign some spiritual contract with God in order to find eternal peace after death. I believe whole-heartedly that I'll be reunited with my loved ones when I die and that's enough for me. I don't believe that's conditional on my behavior on Earth or that I'll miss out on it if I don't pledge myself to a God I don't particularly believe in. And if I'm wrong, if I die and find myself at the pearly gates, or at the foot of God on the Judgement Day, I'll know then that I was wrong and I'll fess up to it. If he's really a merciful God, I don't think he'll deny me access to Heaven because I was wrong about things.

I have no inability to believe i just have no evidence to show that there is a god. Thus i am an atheist, one who lacks belief in a god.

To the person who says atheism is a religion, is bald a hair color? if no then atheism is not a religion.

I think you'll find that belief is not a matter of choice. Some people are capable of it and some are not, that's all.

The only difference these days is that more non-believers are saying what they think and the believers find this disturbing, to say the least.

All of the reasons.

That is the most efficient way of answering.
No reason points toward a god, and a great deal of it points away.

And what do you mean "all the way"?

I believe in even less than the atheists do, and certainly won't give a moment of further consideration to the ludicrous god notions.

Key phrase is 'all the way'

All the way to what?

No fear of man.

Your question's inane and presumptuous.

The gnomes that live in my back shed, and keep eating all the chillis off my chilli bush, told me not to. I fear no man.
