Does Bruteforce password getting try numbers??

My son forgot his password for AOL... He never used his e-mail so he forgot that too. Does the Bruteforce try numbers too? My son said he remember using numbers...

Bruteforce isn't a very effective method for breaking an online password like AIM -- the reason is because AOL monitors failed login attempts so after you get the password wrong so many times in a row, you will be barred from attempting again for some period of time.
