Are you glad that he is now leader of the Likud party? Would you welcome him as Prime Minister?

As someone living in Europe, whenever I've seen him speaking, he appears articulate, dynamic, and charismatic. Also a tough negotiator. Is this correct?

As an American it is a joy to see Benjamin Netanyahu back at the top of Likud. The compromises that the current centrist government have been giving have only left a vacuum that the forces of evil like Hamas have jumped into. The only chance for peace in that part of the Middle East is for Israel to now hold firm and demand that Fatah step up recognize the Israeli states, its borders, the existence of Jewish control over Jerusalem as a whole, and that without a guarantee of peace for Israel there will be no peace for the Palestinians.

I don't live in Israel, but to me it looks as if Bibi = Olmert. Nothing ideological, nothing Jewish....
"Let's hear what music the US is playing, and dance to it!" That is pretty much the attitude.
Most land was given to the Arabs by the right-wingers. (They call themselves right to appeal to a certain category of Israelis)
Most of the Knesset members should be put on trial.

IMO Moshe Feiglin would be great for Israel.

Edit:
Shanti, is forcefully moving Jews out of Gush Katif not too extreme for you?
Israel will fall again if run by views like yours. Israel is surrounded with enemies, make no mistake about t! Treat them like enemies, and you will be safe.
You do not negotiate with someone who is aiming at your children, it is a sin. It is a good time to start understanding that.

He is articulate and a tough negotiator. Maybe he is what Israel needs. I am not happy with Olmert.

In the beginning I didn't like Sharon because I thought he was too tough. Then he won me over cause I thought he did a good job. Olmert is too soft. We need another tough leader and I think Bibi is the right guy.

He is an excellent speaker and has an impressive military record. He ought to be able to negotiate well, but his record is not impressive.

If he were free to do as he really thinks, he would make a good prime minister.

However, he is trying to show how leftist he is, and that will not pay off--not for him and not for the country.

I agree with his economic policies and think he is the best potential leader on the current electoral table.
