Anatomically, I don't know. However it has been observed that no human can really come to terms with 'not existing'. We always live on somewhere, be it heaven, Valhalla, or change into various animals etc. Every single civilization has it's own theories about it. It is not therefore 'natural' for a human to accept not existing. There is always something in the back of the subconscious that nags at us, saying death is not natural for humankind. That explains religion.

do you know, that is the wisest thing god did not do. had he done that instead of remaining forever, human race would have vanished by now! do you know the reason - with this forever, there can only be fixed number. as you are aware human being has a great weakness for boredom. when he lived for 1000 years, that would be too much for him and he is bound to commit sucide. with this sucides, you think that number would have remained by now!
