I've just bought a Hartley's jelly, which says on the front 'less than 10 calories per pot'

it's got 1.0g of carbohydrate, of which sugars 1.0g, fat 0.1g

is this good???

Well....yes
But...sugar is a type of carbohydrates that we don't need because we take the sugar we need out of fruits..
We do need fibre and starchy foods(carbohydrates) for a good bowel movement and slow release of energy.
Also, if we have carbs with our meals is less likely to feel hungry...because when you starve your body stores fat.

When you buy things and you look at the label consider this:
20g fat or more / 100g = a lot of fat
5g of saturates or more / 100g = a lot
3g fat or less = a little fat
1g saturates or less = little fat.

If you see on the label that the level of sugar is between 2g and 10g for 100g of a product, that's a moderate amount.

Salt - is often listed as sodium on food labels.
1g salt = 2.5g of sodium
thinking we need just 6g of salt per day consider this :
1.25g salt or more / 100g = a lot of salt
0.5g sodium or more / 100g = a lot
0.25g salt or less / 100g = little salt
0.1g sodium or less / 100g = little

Good luck with your diet and feel free to contact me if you need to speak with me(I am on a diet too).
:-)

That should be fine for one serving. Also, you will need to determine how many servings you can have based on your dietary requirements. In other words, don't eat too much of it. If it contains Splenda, however, you may want to reconsider. There is some speculation that Splenda may not help you lose weight.
