The OT is still part of the Bible. The Books of Leviticus and Exodus should still be valid, if you decide not to go cherrypicking.
Read Matthew 5:17-19.

I don't see why it's "considered to be done away with." A lot of the Old Testament is still relevant to Christians today. For example, the book of Proverbs is a collection of wise sayings and instructions, and the book of Psalms is filled with beautiful poetry and heart-felt worship. Other books, such as Isaiah, contain prophecies about the coming of Jesus Christ.
I think what you are asking is, "What about the Old Testament law?" These laws, found in books like Leviticus, are no longer required because as Christians know, Christ came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. The law was used to show man his need for a savior. For example, how would I know it was wrong to cheat on my wife if the scriptures didn't say, "Thou shalt not commit adultery." So as you see, the law was used to show man his own sin nature.

The gospel writers tried to tutor that Jesus become the Messiah that become predicted by ability of the previous testomony. The previous testomony is what set the policies for who to anticipate because of the fact the Messiah. it is real that maximum christians ignore with regard to the previous testomony and people who do examine it wish that it did no longer exist because of the fact it makes God seem undesirable. regrettably Jesus would not meet the standards set forth interior the previous testomony and the early christians might have performed extra advantageous to start a clean faith particularly of piggy backing off the previous testomony. for this reason the Jews did no longer settle for Jesus because of the fact the Messiah. Matthew and Luke supply 2 diverse genealogies for Jesus in an attempt to place Him interior the bloodline of King David as instructed interior the O.T. Matthew a million:23 asserts that Isaiah 7:14 foretells of Jesus virgin beginning that's fake. The gospel writers borrowed words from the O.T. to place notice into the mouth of Jesus. relatively the O.T. discredits the N.T. and the N.T. has a super style of the Roman Empire's paganism in it. each and all of the christian holidays fall on the superb days that the pagan holidays have been on.

The unscriptural old testament or the scriptural old testament? (See 2 Tim. 3:16-17l combined with Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor.13:1). The unscriptural old testament is Genesis-Malachi, the scriptural old testament is the law of Moses 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV).

Many consider it a tome of historical Junk. It is an example of God's relationship with a wayward nation. Often referred to as 'the root' with the New Testament 'the fruit'.

noooo..
only some thinngs have changed....Jesus said he came to make the old law stronger..
e.g.loving the other lead ---Jesus made this comandement stronger through abolishing the punishment with death...they used to get killed for some...things like adultery..drinking to much..disobeying the parents and actually the laws of God,
on other hand the Old Testament is the History of the world...because in some respects the history of the world means God...our God..what He did and say..and what people did, and the relationship between people and God..we must know this..and through this we know God..our purpose is to know God..and in Old Testament even God the Father talks and shows up..(Isaiah...Ezekiel...Daniel..-deserved this honour somehow at least)

Because it predicted the coming of Christ. Also, remember all the early believers were Jewish and this is what they knew as the Holy Book. Why does the Qu'ran speak about the Bible?

Corinthians I 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Corinthians I 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Corinthians I 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
Corinthians I 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Corinthians I 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Corinthians I 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Corinthians I 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Corinthians I 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Corinthians I 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
Corinthians I 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
Corinthians I 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
