Love is not feeling that you can live with someone; rather, love is knowing you can't live without them. This is the romantic/relationship take on love. As a young adult, many of my friends say they love their b/f or g/f. I know I've said the same thing, but since thinking about said times, I know I was wrong. HS relationships are just that and don't/shouldn't extend beyond what they started as - ***** teenagers looking for sex.

Romantic love is the couple married for 40-50 years who bickers constantly, holds grudges, and ignores each other. But, if one of them was to leave/pass away, the other would be heartbroken and would feel a part of them die.

Love today is thrown around too often. With divorces outweighing lasting marriages, America has lost what love is meant to be in a romantic sense.

On the friendship side, love describes how some person is always there for you, will bring you through the highs and lows, and no matter how close you are, you know that separation won't hurt your friendship.

I guess distance is what separates these two 'loves' for me. I suppose love is purely opinionated, and my meaning could differ greatly from someone elses, but that's fine with me. This is how I feel and nothing can change that.
