It could relate to the important role that mothers play in the rearing of children.

If she rears them with love, teaches them good manners (morals), she will (in general) raise confident, conscientious children who will be successful in whatever they choose to do.

We should keep in mind that success, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder and is something quite personal. I don't think anyone has the right to judge the success of another because everyone's priorities and views are different.

Success also doesn't mean that you got everything you wanted, but could be measured by how you dealt with your failures as well.

yes behind every successful person there is always a lady..but behind every unsuccessful person also there is always a lady..it all depends on weather the lady's a good one or an evil one! :D

No, it is behind every successful man, there is a good woman.
Also, behind most failed men there is a woman who holds him back, keeps him broke and generally taunts his dreams,destroying any ambition he might have had!

This is not exactly idiomatic.

It should read -

'Behind every successful person there is a woman'

Is that the kind of comment you want ?
