Ive been wanting to get a tattoo for a while now, but i want to get something that has meaning to me, imports my personality.. does anyone have any ideas... one things thats very important in my life is music, its what i do for a living, and one thing that saved my life...it may be listening to it writing it or playing it...another thing is writing, i love to write. i do it everyday... so i was thinking of maybe a way to combine the two, but ive just have no idea of how... does anyoen have any pictures of tats that combine the two or an idea of how to successfully combine them?

Thats what i want the tattoo of, something combining music and writing.. im not asking MILLIONS of people to tell me what has meaning to me( like one suggested) but if anyone has seen or has any ideas of how the two could work together....

sheet music. if you have the sheet music for any of the songs you wrote, get that as a tattoo. or just pick one of ur favorite songs or a song that means alot to you and get the sheet music for it. i always thought that would b a really awesome tattoo, just make sure you get it in a spot that looks good and you have plenty of room so the notes don't look all jumbled.
or, you can get lyrics. since you like to write, pick something that you've written that you really like and get the lyrics tattooed on you. or again, pick a fav song and get some lyrics from it tattooed on you.
or you can also do what i did, and get a clef symbol. i play violin, so i got a treble clef with musical notes around it and it's my favorite out of all my tattoos.

Yes, you can ask any reputable tattoo artist about your idea and let them sketch out a few for you to choose from. Sounds like a beautiful idea. Music notes with words as a background. An old music sheet with worn edges and some of the words to a song you wrote on it. Have fun!

Try looking for symbols of music and literature, like Eutherpe (one of the 9 muses) the muse of music, or choose your favourite instrument and combine it with a symbol of literature (preferrably not a plume). If combining the two doesn't work, you can always go for a symbol of art, because it includes both music and literature. Good luck!

Upper arm can be designed with a quill pen, feather plume with little music symbols, an ink well and possibly a short quote or your writing inspirations

if you want something that is personal and has meaning to you, why are you asking a bunch of people on the internet?
make a trip to the tattoo parlor and take a look at the examples they have there. talk to the artists too. they may be able to translate what's important to you into ink. they don't want to put a tattoo on you that you don't like, so they'll be happy to help.

music sheets. with like a feather pen or something. or a line from your best work. music notes (in numbers, do re mi, or G/Am/C...blah blah blah). but if you're guy, those choices aren't so "masculine", i guess.
