if it seems fake, yes. if it's genuine, and mutual, i can't get enough of it, granted we're talking about romantic love. showing is always better than telling though.

I think most people like hearing that, but 1 -3 times a day would be enough.
Now if someone was just trying to be annoying or funny and said it like 25 times in a hour that would be too much.

In a way, I think you could.

When I was dating, it was a mistake of mine to tell the guy I dated that I loved him. He hardly ever said it back. He really didn't mean it, after all, we broke up.

Now that I'm married, I try to say it as often as I can to my husband. He knows I love him, but it makes it a little extra sweeter for him to hear it. He hardly says it back, but I know he loves me because he made a VOW to me and expresses his love differently to me all the time.

(And get your mind out of the gutter at this point, you guys...he buys me treats, and takes me out to dinners and dates...) :P

i don't think you can- but at the same time i know it can be said so often that the sincerity of it can be brought into question, and off course there are situations where people may not feel comfortable being told that- in which people should be more respecteful.

Kindly,

Nickster

You may run the risk of convincing the other you're trying to convince yourself.
