When I was a street rat at least I knew where I stood with people. In this rediculous corporate world with false pleasentries one never knows what daggers are couched behind a statement. Wouldnt the world be better if one could just state their honest opinion without out all the fake garbage being pc entails?

It isn't a good thing.

People really do need to get their tact filter the right way around.

The politically correct thing is way out of hand and should be trashed but it has nothing to do with good manners in respect to dealing with people. Honesty can sometimes get you in trouble whether you are dealing with corporate or on the street. It's always about rules. Once you get them in whatever environment, you rule. Politically correct crap was initiated so no one at any time ever would not be offended. Instead it offends everyone everyday.

I use tact with people. Someone with good sense, manners, and tact can get along well without the necessity of being PC. I believe that PC is highly over rated!!

I'm for common respect and decency, not PC. As a white guy, I hate being made to feel guilty for being born that way, just like minorities. It's reverse discrimination, in a way. If you are good to me, I am good to you.

Moaning about political correctness is an excuse for people to be ignorant and prejudiced.

A friend of mine insisted on calling people with Downs Syndrome 'Mongoloids'. When I suggested this was inappropriate, he accused me of being 'politically correct.'
