Aydın Dogan is a businessman and he don't want the risk of Colasan since AKP is going to rule for another 5 years.
but......i don't consider ''BUSINESS IS EVERYTHING'' there are some things in the world more important than money and business and one of these things is courage.
Dogan Group has become a monopoly in media and it is not good. They also support AKP by any means and i don't like it.
Some things are going to happen soon i presume, lets wait and see.....

Especially Hurriyet had shown its colours way before. After AKP came to the government, some writers began rhetoric like, "We are devout Muslims, too, but..." And Ertugrul Ozkok said recently, in his column, "Now it is time to lay aside OUR BELONGING TO TAREKATS and..."
As a reader, what do I care who is a devout something or what? What do I care who belongs to which tarekat? Aren't tarekats illegal, anyway? Doesn't the name "news"paper imply what should be?
Turkey is a laicist state, but Hurriyet opts to go after the popular. USA made "mild Islam" popular in Turkey and Hurriyet follows after. All supporters of "mild Islam" should look at Pakistan to see what "mild any religion" becomes. This is a different age, religious rules don't have a place in government and the faster various states and persons see this, the better.
I disliked Colasan being kicked out, but not surprised really. I bought Hurriyet before, I won't now. I know they earn ad money from the internet version, but still, I will only read the columnists I follow from the internet. Take that, Mr.Ozkok! And remember, 53% is bigger than 47%!

DoÄan Group = pro AKP
We all knew this, nothing new. Emin ÃölaÅan should be proud that he's kicked out (I'm not a fan of ÃölaÅan but it's sad he's been kicked out because of what he says). Hurriyet lost its good name for me years ago.

I rarely liked E.ÃölaÅan's articles, but that doesn't mean he should have been sacked because of his views. That's very undemocratic. I expect Bekir CoÅkun to follow suit. As you Said A.DoÄan is doing "business" not journalism. Unfortunately 90% of mass media is like that nowadays. E.Ãzkok is like a chameleon, he changes color to suit who is in power. I used to buy Hurriyet but stopped about a year ago. I buy Sabah now and local Cypriot newspaper Kıbrıs.
