last night at about 9.30 i had a sudden, severe crippling pain in my lower right abdomen, this was twinned with urine tract pains similar to cystitis. i felt dizzy and was vomiting on and off until 2 am. At this point the pain subsided and the vomiting ceased, 12 hours later i feel ok, only a little fragile. my question is, if the pain has gone does this cancel out an chance of it being appendicitis? any help appreciated.

This could be several things, most of which require the care of a physician. Kidney stone (you would notice when you pass it, but it would quit hurting once the stone entered the bladder); gall stone (these usually don't pass on their own, but are more related to vomiting); appendicitis (did you have a fever?); intestinal lesion (any diarrhea or bleeding?); etc. Rather than try to second guess from great virtual distances, you should see a physician as soon as possible. Explain your symptoms and the above possibilities when you speak to the scheduler; that should get you in quickly. If not, go to urgent care.

Yes that certainly does seem like apendicitis..although the ceased pain seems a little akward i still think you need to go into the emergency room right away. They say the pain stops right before your appendix bursts. It is important you go see a doctor and get some care even if its just something small.

why didn't you get to the ER???
I would suggest you go now or when you get up tomorrow. or at least call your doctor now
You appendix mght of ruptured and that can kill you.
You also might of had a flare up of the symptoms then they passed. One way or another you need to see your doctor to make sure that you are not spetic which is dangerous

If you are too sick to go....call a friend or 911

I think you would now if you had an appendicitis! I think the pain would be severe and not stop.
Sounds more like food poisoning since it went away...

It might have been a kidney stone. They hurt like hell, and make you throw up, but they go away after a few hours (the smaller ones).

Yikes.....
I would call your MD in the morning and see what they think. I am glad you feel better, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
